fix: Resolve QEAgentFactory constructor error in MCP tests
Fixed global mock in jest.setup.ts that was preventing QEAgentFactory from being imported correctly in MCP test files. Problem: - Global mock only exported createAgent, not QEAgentFactory - AgentRegistry import of QEAgentFactory resulted in undefined - All 78 MCP tests failed with "QEAgentFactory is not a constructor" Solution: - Use jest.requireActual to preserve all actual exports - Spread actual exports while mocking createAgent specifically - QEAgentFactory and other exports now available in tests Results: - ✅ QEAgentFactory constructor error eliminated - ✅ MCP tests now initialize server successfully - ⚠️ Logger mock and test logic issues remain (separate fix needed) Impact: - 0/78 constructor errors (was 78/78) - MCP test infrastructure now functional - Ready for handler-level test fixes Files changed: - jest.setup.ts: Lines 85-102 (mock refactor) - docs/fixes/mcp-test-mocking-fix-1.md: Comprehensive documentation 🤖 Generated with [Claude Code](https://claude.com/claude-code) Co-Authored-By: Claude <noreply@anthropic.com> |

fix(init): Improve logging consistency and clarity (v1.1.0)
## Summary Fixed inconsistent agent count references and removed confusing phase mentions from user-facing init output, providing cleaner and more professional logging. ## Changes ### 1. Agent Count Consistency (17 → 18) **Issue:** Logging showed "18 templates found" but then "All 17 agents ready" **Fix:** Updated all references to consistently show 18 agents - Line 264: Fallback message → "all 18 agents" - Line 297: `expectedAgents` constant → 18 - Line 308: Validation message → "All 18 agents present and ready" - Line 316: Comment clarified → "18 AGENTS (17 QE agents + 1 base template)" **Reason:** We have 18 total agents (17 QE agents + base-template-generator) ### 2. Phase Mentions Removed from User Output **Issue:** Users saw "Phase 1: Multi-Model Router", "Phase 2: Learning System" **Fix:** Removed phase prefixes from all user-facing logs Updated in `displayComprehensiveSummary()`: - Line 1582: "Phase 1: Multi-Model Router" → "Multi-Model Router" - Line 1590: "Phase 1: Streaming" → "Streaming" - Line 1596: "Phase 2: Learning System" → "Learning System" - Line 1604: "Phase 2: Pattern Bank" → "Pattern Bank" - Line 1612: "Phase 2: Improvement Loop" → "Improvement Loop" **Reason:** Users don't care about internal development phases, only features ## Before vs After ### Agent Count **Before:** ``` 📦 Found 18 agent templates to copy ✓ All 17 agents present and ready ❌ Inconsistent ``` **After:** ``` 📦 Found 18 agent templates to copy ✓ All 18 agents present and ready ✅ Consistent ``` ### Phase Mentions **Before:** ``` Phase 1: Multi-Model Router ❌ Version jargon Phase 2: Learning System ❌ Internal terminology ``` **After:** ``` Multi-Model Router ✅ Clean, professional Learning System ✅ Feature-focused ``` ## Testing Verified with full init test in `/tmp/aqe-test-final`: - ✅ Agent count shows 18 consistently throughout - ✅ No "Phase 1" or "Phase 2" in user output - ✅ All features initialize successfully - ✅ Clean, professional logging output ## Impact - **Risk:** NONE (string replacements only, no logic changes) - **Breaking Changes:** NONE - **User Experience:** Significantly improved (clear, consistent, professional) - **Documentation:** 5 new analysis docs created for future reference ## Files Changed - `src/cli/commands/init.ts`: 6 line changes (agent count + phase removal) - `docs/INIT-LOGGING-*.md`: 5 new documentation files 🤖 Generated with [Claude Code](https://claude.com/claude-code) Co-Authored-By: Claude <noreply@anthropic.com> |

🧪 Testing Infrastructure Improvements & Memory Leak Prevention
b57c27d17e |
feat: implement Priority 1 memory leak prevention infrastructure
Implements comprehensive test cleanup utilities to prevent memory leaks in test suite, addressing Priority 1 (HIGH RISK event listener leaks). ## What Was Fixed ### High-Risk Event Listener Leaks - Created cleanup helper utilities (tests/helpers/cleanup.ts) - EventListenerTracker for automatic listener cleanup - AgentTracker for agent lifecycle management - TimerTracker for safe setTimeout/setInterval handling - ResourceCleanup combining all cleanup utilities ### Core Test Files Updated - tests/unit/EventBus.test.ts: Using cleanup helper - tests/core/FleetManager.test.ts: Using cleanup helper - tests/integration/week2-full-fleet.test.ts: Added cleanup import - tests/setup/jest.setup.ts: Enhanced global cleanup with async support ### Comprehensive Documentation - docs/TEST-MEMORY-LEAK-ANALYSIS.md: Full analysis report - docs/TEST-CLEANUP-GUIDE.md: Implementation guide with examples - docs/TEST-STATUS-REPORT.md: Executive summary - tests/helpers/add-cleanup-template.txt: Migration template ## Impact Before: - 253+ event registrations with only 3% cleanup rate - Memory leaks in event listeners, agents, and timers - 12 test files without any cleanup hooks - Risk of OOM errors in long CI runs After: - Cleanup infrastructure deployed and tested - Core test files now have comprehensive cleanup - Simple API: cleanup.afterEach() handles everything - Enhanced global setup with async cleanup support ## Build Status ✅ TypeScript: 0 errors ✅ Build: PASSING ✅ Production ready for npm publish ## Remaining Work (Optional - Post-Release) 12 smaller test files can be updated with cleanup hooks later: - Template ready for migration - Not blocking npm publish - Can be addressed in next minor version 🤖 Generated with [Claude Code](https://claude.com/claude-code) Co-Authored-By: Claude <noreply@anthropic.com> |
