A step defined inside a workflow body configures its retry count via a property assignment (`myStep.maxRetries = N`). In step mode the workflow body is replaced with a `throw`, so that assignment was dropped and the step silently reverted to the default of 3 retries. Collect `<step>.maxRetries = <literal>` assignments from the workflow body and re-emit them at module scope on the hoisted step function, right after its registration IIFE. Only literal right-hand sides are hoisted so the assignment cannot capture workflow-local bindings. Adds a Rust fixture (nested-step-max-retries) and an e2e workflow + assertion (errorRetryDisabledNested) covering the regression. Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 4.8 (1M context) <noreply@anthropic.com>
