Tim Neutkens bbd8452d6b Fix crypto import in edge runtime with Turbopack (#65171)
## What?

Ensures just importing `crypto` does not error, only when it is used it
shows an error in the edge runtime. This matches webpack behavior. The
`crypto` module was missing the list of unsupported packages in the
Next.js Turbopack integration.

Fixes #64464
Fixes PACK-2954

## TODO

While adding tests for this issue I found another bug that only happens
with webpack.

Specifically these 4 packages are accidentally being polyfilled even
when they're not set up to be polyfilled. i.e. there's no npm package
installed for polyfilling them through aliasing or such. Even in that
case `punycode`, `process`, `querystring`, and `string_decorder` get
polyfilled regardless, this causes the newly added test to fail.

Removing the polyfills would be potentially breaking so we'll want to
change it in Next.js 15 instead.

I took some time and [wrote a
codemod](https://gist.github.com/wyattjoh/0d4464427506cb02062a4729ca906b62)
that replaces the old usage of the `createNextDescribe` with the new
`nextTestSetup`. You'll likely have to turn on hiding of whitespace in
order to review, but this should primarily introduce no changes to the
test structure other than using the new mechanism now.

Jimmy Lai 4e27b908fe misc: fix injecting --inspect with NODE_OPTIONS (#57159)
This PR fixes the passing of the `--inspect` option when calling Next.js with it. It's still not great because you need to target the next file in node_modules directly but I'll add a `next --inspect` option in the future.

JJ Kasper 7d93808c43 Remove render workers in favor of esm loader (#54813)
Currently we create separate workers to isolate `pages` and `app`
routers due to differing react versions being used between the two. This
adds overhead and complexity in the rendering process which we can avoid
by leveraging an `esm-loader` similar to our `require-hook` to properly
alias `pages` router to the bundled react version to match `app` router
when both are leveraged together.

This aims to seamlessly inject the `esm-loader` by restarting the
process with the loader arg added whenever `next` is imported so that
this also works with custom-servers and fixes the issue with custom
req/res fields not working after upgrading.

Shu Ding 5584e5743a Merge app renderer process (#54143)
This PR merges the app renderer worker into the router process. This
improves the memory overhead mostly.

There're future work to do to get rid of the IPC server for router and
app renderer, as they're now merged in one process.

Tim Neutkens 98a8b1cca6 Set process.title for router and render workers (#52779)
- Adds `next-router-worker` as the process title for the routing worker.
- Adds `next-render-worker-app` as the process title for the rendering
worker for `app`
- Adds `next-render-worker-pages` as the process title for the rendering
worker for `pages`

Currently it's hard to find these processes in e.g. activity monitor,
this helps explain what they are used for when someone is looking at the
running processes.
