The comment pointed at astral-sh/cargo-dist v0.28.3, but that repo stops at 0.28.7 and the version this workspace pins (cargo-dist-version = 0.31.0) is only published from axodotdev/cargo-dist, so the documented command fails with 'failed to find tag v0.31.0'. Point at the version dist-workspace.toml actually pins, and note why matching it matters: 'dist generate' rewrites cargo-dist-version to whatever version generated the file, so running a mismatched dist silently repins the workspace.
