David Montague 408a23ac07 Address review: sweep probe children in the watchdog
Snapshot the hung probe's children with pgrep before killing it, then
kill both, so a shim blocked on a child neither leaks that child nor,
if the child were killed first, exits cleanly and gets selected as a
"working" interpreter. Uses pgrep/kill rather than the suggested setsid
because setsid does not exist on macOS, where the shim failure mode is
most common. Adds a test asserting the child is dead afterwards.

David Montague 909e568143 Address review: tolerant config parsing, keep watchdog at ~2s on whole-second sleep
The config.env parser now accepts whitespace around the key, =, and
value (matching the hook's own parser) and trims the value before
unquoting. The watchdog fallback for non-fractional sleep now consumes
ten ticks per second so a hanging probe is still killed after ~2s
rather than 20s.

David Montague b0c8e0c692 fix(logfire-exporter): stop broken python3 shims from stalling Codex hooks
A pyenv-style shim that hangs instead of failing made every hook run to
its 10-30s timeout, grinding chats to a crawl. Run the hooks through a
POSIX wrapper that probes interpreter candidates with a 2s watchdog,
caches the working choice, honors a CODEX_LOGFIRE_PYTHON override, and
fails open (no export) when no interpreter works.

Aditya Vardhan 0a703b9fb6 Remove incorrect gotchas: ALLOW_MODEL_REQUESTS, instructions vs system_prompt, result_type
- ALLOW_MODEL_REQUESTS: import-then-rebind pattern doesn't work in Python
- instructions vs system_prompt: instructions are always re-injected, not excluded with message_history
- result_type removal: accurate but unnecessary without version context

Aditya Vardhan 250f5366a1 Fix incorrect system_prompt gotcha: both decorators support dynamic functions
The gotcha incorrectly stated that system_prompt is "static strings only".
In reality, @agent.system_prompt accepts dynamic functions (including with
RunContext), just like @agent.instructions. The actual difference is message
history behavior: instructions are re-injected each run, while system_prompt
persists and requires dynamic=True for re-evaluation.
