feat(parser)!: rename panicked to fatal_error in ParserReturn ( #26382 )

`ParserReturn` contains a property `panicked`.
The name `panicked` is misleading. The parser did _not_ panic. When `true`, it means that the parser encountered a fatal error and is unable to parse the source, because it contains an unrecoverable syntax error.
Rename this property to `fatal_error`, to better describe what it means.
This is a breaking change, but one that's trivial to fix in downstream code - the property doesn't change its meaning or behavior, just its name.
All the changes in this PR in other crates are just reacting to this change and making everywhere use the term "fatal error" instead of "panicked", so the codebase is consistent.

refactor(ast)!: remove old AstBuilder methods ( #24563 )

Closes the migration tracked in #23043 .
The new builder API (methods on the AST types themselves) has been in place for a while, all Oxc crates are migrated, and every crate which uses `AstBuilder` already enables `disable_old_builder` in its tests. The module docs said "after a few weeks, we will remove `AstBuilder`'s own methods entirely" — this does that.
## What's removed
- `crates/oxc_ast/src/generated/ast_builder.rs` and `builder/methods.rs` — `AstBuilder`'s own node and primitive constructors.
- `AstBuilderGenerator`, which produced the former.
- The `disable_old_builder` Cargo feature, plus the dev-dependency hacks it required across 33 manifests. Eight crates depended on `oxc_ast` *purely* to turn the feature on; those deps and their `cargo-shear` ignore entries are gone too.
## One thing worth reviewing
`AstBuilderGenerator` owned the `#[builder(default)]` / `#[builder(skip)]` attr registration that `BuilderMethodsGenerator` only *reads* — its doc comment said as much. Deleting it naively would have silently dropped `skip`/`default` handling for the 12 AST types using those attrs, so `attrs()` and `parse_attr()` move to `BuilderMethodsGenerator`.
The evidence this was faithful: after regenerating, `builder_methods.rs` and every other generated file are **byte-identical**. The only generated change in the diff is the deletion.
## Breaking changes
- `AstBuilder`'s own methods are gone. Use the AST type methods: `Statement::new_expression_statement(span, expr, &builder)` instead of `builder.statement_expression(span, expr)`.
- `AstBuilder` is no longer `Copy`/`Clone`, and its `allocator` field is private — use the `allocator` method from `GetAllocator`.
- `AstBuilder` and `NONE` are no longer re-exported from the crate root; import them from `oxc_ast::builder`. (The `disable_old_builder` feature already gated these off, so nothing in-tree used the root path.)
- The `disable_old_builder` feature no longer exists — remove it from any manifest that sets it.
A migration note covering all of the above is in `crates/oxc_ast/src/builder/mod.rs`.

fix(all): enable disable_old_builder Cargo feature for oxc_ast crate in tests ( #23888 )

Part of #23043 .
We don't enable `oxc_ast`'s `disable_old_builder` Cargo feature in any of our published crates, or crates that are depended on by published crates.
However, we want to ensure no usage of legacy `AstBuilder` methods sneak in during the transition period before we delete these methods. Enable the feature in tests in all crates which depend on `oxc_ast`, to make sure any usage of legacy methods gets caught.

perf(semantic,mangler,minifier): fix Semantic::stats node count and reuse stats in mangler builds ( #23352 )

Fix three allocation problems in the semantic rebuilds performed by the minify/mangle paths, found while auditing the compiler pipeline's scoping rebuilds.
- **`Semantic::stats` reported `nodes: 0` after node-less builds.** It read `self.nodes.len()`, which is empty when the builder runs in ancestry mode (`with_build_nodes(false)` — the compiler pipeline default). `Semantic` now tracks `node_count` (from `AstNodeStore::node_count`, the source of truth in both modes) and `stats()` returns it. The mangler build inside `Minifier::build` previously received `nodes: 0` and grew the `AstNodes` store from zero capacity by repeated doubling; it now pre-allocates correctly.
- **`Minifier::build` with `compress: None` fed the mangler `Stats::default()`.** All-zero stats are worse than no stats: they skip the `Stats::count` fallback *and* reserve zero capacity for every table. Stats are now threaded as `Option<Stats>` and only passed when the compress phase produced them; the mangle-only path falls back to the counting pass and sizes correctly.
- **`Mangler::build` always re-counted the AST.** Added `Mangler::with_stats`, and `CompilerInterface::mangle` now receives the stats from the initial semantic build, so the mangler's internal semantic rebuild skips its full-AST counting traversal.
Output is unchanged — stats only affect pre-allocation.
`CompilerInterface::mangle` gains a `stats: Stats` parameter — a breaking change for external implementors that override it (same shape as the `compress` change in #23153 ).

## What
Track scoping/AST sync state with a single `scoping_dirty` flag in `Compiler::compile` so each downstream step (inject/define plugins, DCE, compress) only rebuilds semantic when it's actually needed.
## Details
- `InjectGlobalVariables` and `ReplaceGlobalDefines` already return a `changed: bool`; this was previously ignored. It's now OR-ed into `scoping_dirty`.
- `scoping_dirty` starts `true` only when the transformer runs — the parser, React Compiler (rebuilds scoping on success, returns the untouched scoping on bail-out), and any fresh `SemanticBuilder` all leave scoping in sync.
- The pre-plugin rebuild is now gated on `scoping_dirty`, skipping a needless rebuild when no transform ran.
- DCE and Compress are now a single mutually-exclusive `if/else`, both rebuilding semantic only when `scoping_dirty`.
- `Compressor::build` (which always rebuilds semantic internally) is replaced with `build_with_scoping`, so when scoping is already in sync the compressor skips its own `SemanticBuilder` pass.
- The three rebuild sites are extracted into a `rebuild_scoping` helper, which enables enum eval when a transform is configured so const-enum resolution matches the original semantic build.
## Note
The `CompilerInterface::compress` trait method gains a `scoping: Scoping` parameter — a breaking change for external implementors that override it.

refactor(semantic): don't build the AstNodes store by default ( #23005 )

## What
Make the full `AstNodes` store **opt-in**, so the compiler pipeline (transformer / codegen / minifier) can run semantic analysis without building it at all.
Previously every `SemanticBuilder` run allocated and populated the full `AstNodes` store, even for consumers that only need scoping + the syntax checker. This separates the node-related builder state into three independent pieces:
- a standalone `NodeId` counter — the source of truth for node ids, valid in either mode;
- an **ancestry stack** — an upward-walk-only stack of the current node's ancestors, the only ancestry the syntax checker and binder actually read;
- the full **`AstNodes`** store — random access to every node, needed by the linter and mangler.
## How
- A new `AstNodeStore` (in `crates/oxc_semantic/src/node/store.rs`) bundles the node-id counter, the current-node cursor/flags, and the storage. The storage is an enum (`AstNodeStoreKind`) with two variants — `Full(AstNodes)` and `Ancestry(AncestryStack)` — so the full store and the ancestry stack are **mutually exclusive by construction**; they can never both be maintained at once.
- The checker and binder read ancestry through an `Ancestry` view (`node/ancestry.rs`) that dispatches between the full store (linter / mangler) and the stack (compiler pipeline). They no longer do random `NodeId` access into the store — all ancestry access is upward-walk-only.
- `SemanticBuilder` gains `with_build_nodes(bool)`. The default is **off** (ancestry stack only). `new_linter()` turns it on (the linter needs the full store); `new_compiler()` leaves it off.
- `CompilerInterface::build_semantic_nodes()` lets `oxc::Compiler` consumers opt back in if their `after_semantic` hook reads `Semantic::nodes`.
## Notes
- Behaviour-neutral: semantic conformance snapshots are unchanged.
- Allocation snapshots updated — the default (ancestry) path allocates slightly less (the growing `Stack` trades a couple of fixed allocations for a few reallocs).
- Builds on the already-merged `SymbolFlags`-based redeclaration checks (#23060 ) and the `new_linter`/`new_compiler` preset adoption (#23057 ), which removed the last random node reads from the redeclaration path so the checker works without the store.

## Summary
Adds two named constructor presets to `SemanticBuilder` that bake in the options each use case needs, so the configuration lives in one place instead of being repeated at call sites:
- **`SemanticBuilder::new_compiler()`** — compiler pipeline. Enables syntax-error checking; leaves linter-only analyses (control flow graph, class table) off.
- **`SemanticBuilder::new_linter()`** — linter. Enables syntax-error checking, the control flow graph, and the class table.
The presets are applied at the real pipeline entry points:
- `new_linter()` → the linter service build.
- `new_compiler()` → `oxc::Compiler`, and the napi parser/transform bindings.
Everywhere else keeps `SemanticBuilder::new()` and turns on only the features it needs (mangler, minifier, formatter, transformer plugins, examples, tests, ...). Individual options can still be overridden after a preset (e.g. the linter service overrides `check_syntax_error` with its runtime flag).
Behavior is preserved at every migrated site. Node-store access is intentionally untouched in this PR.
## Verified
- Builds across the affected crates + napi; clippy clean; `oxc_linter` tests pass; full `cargo coverage` with no snapshot changes.

feat(semantic): add enum member value evaluation for const enum support ( #20602 )

## Summary
Part of https://github.com/oxc-project/oxc/issues/6073 and #11844
- Add `ConstantValue` type in `oxc_syntax` for representing enum member values (number/string)
- Implement enum member value evaluation in `oxc_semantic` supporting numeric auto-increment, string values, binary/unary expressions, cross-member and cross-enum references, template literals, and merged enum declarations
- Store evaluated enum member values in `Scoping` via `EnumData` struct with getter/setter APIs and enum body scope tracking
- All enum evaluation code is gated behind the `enum_eval` Cargo feature (enabled by `oxc_transformer`)
### Feature gate
The `enum_eval` feature controls:
- `ts_enum` module (evaluator + data types)
- `EnumData` field and enum-related methods on `Scoping`
- `oxc_syntax/to_js_string` dependency
Consumers that don't need enum values (linter, language server) pay zero cost.
### Babel alignment
Unary operators on strings follow Babel's JS-coercion semantics (`+"s"` → `"s"`, `-"s"` → `NaN`, `~"s"` → `-1`), which differs from TypeScript (unevaluated). This is documented in the source.
