...
Refs: voidzero-dev/vite-plus#2245

feat(oxlint,oxfmt): auto-discover .mts config files ( #24357 )
...
## Summary
- auto-discover `oxfmt.config.mts` and `oxlint.config.mts`
- watch `.mts` configs in the language server and reject `.ts`/`.mts` conflicts

fix(lsp): normalize user config path to watch pattern ( #23723 )
...
When a user defined a custom config path, like `fmt.configPath` or `configPath`, the watch pattern returned the same path.
VS Code does not respect this as a valid pattern and does not watch for files defined like `./define-config.ts`.
Resulting into an LSP client, which will not send a watched-file-change requests to the server, when the user edited an important config path.

### Highlights
We are introducing `@codspeed/playwright`, for walltime benchmarking and
profiling of end to end browser applications through playwright.
Here's an example usage, but head to the
[docs](https://codspeed.io/docs/benchmarks/nodejs/playwright ) for more
information
```typescript
import { bench, type Page } from "@codspeed/playwright-plugin";
import electronExecutable from "electron";
import path from "node:path";
import { fileURLToPath } from "node:url";
const __dirname = path.dirname(fileURLToPath(import.meta.url));
const appRoot = path.resolve(__dirname, "..");
async function waitUntilSettled(page: Page): Promise<void> {
await page.waitForFunction(() => {
const main = document.getElementById("main");
return !!main && !main.classList.contains("loading");
});
}
await bench(
"inbox-search-archive-threads",
async ({ page }) => {
await page.fill("#search", "update");
await waitUntilSettled(page);
await page.click("#select-visible-btn");
await page.click("#archive-btn");
await waitUntilSettled(page);
await page.click('#sidebar nav button[data-view="threads"]');
await waitUntilSettled(page);
},
{
target: {
kind: "electron",
appPath: path.join(appRoot, "out/main/index.js"),
cwd: appRoot,
},
beforeRound: async ({ page }) => {
page.setDefaultTimeout(180_000);
await page.waitForSelector("#main");
await waitUntilSettled(page);
},
},
);
```
Note: this plugin is only compatible with the walltime instrument.

feat(oxfmt/lsp): format files outside workspace folders ( #21481 )
...
closes https://github.com/oxc-project/oxc-vscode/issues/180
`oxfmt` config architecture allows running a second instance of the formatter. This worker is responsible now for single file mode and files outside the current workspace.
> In `oxfmt` LSP context, user want to use the server without a context of a project.
They want just open a file with `code /Users/local-settings/file.json`, which we already supported with the `single_file_mode` flag.
But they also expect to format such files when you have already opened a project.
It will not create watchers for this manager because they would be too expensive, atm the architecture only works with the root path of the workspace. In the example of the dynamic workspace, it would watch the complete file system.
This will "break" the single file mode in `oxfmt --lsp`, when a user edits the oxfmt config on the same level where an edited file is formatted.
Tested it with VS Code and WSL2 (linux) and Win10 native. Beside #21654 everything works as expected 🥳

fix(oxfmt/lsp): format non file:// URIs without a authority ( #21647 )
...
> ## Pull request overview
> This PR updates oxfmt’s LSP in-memory formatting to handle URIs that don’t have an authority component (i.e., non-`file://` URIs like `vscode-userdata:/...`) by deriving a “fake” file path from the URI’s authority *or* path, and updates the LSP formatting tests/snapshots accordingly.

feat(oxfmt/lsp): Support per-directory config ( #21081 )
...
A.k.a. nested config, for LSP.
I plan to add CLI support later, LSP support for start.
(So, please do not merge for a while. 🙏🏻 )
- Before: At startup, it finds-up for config file starting from the workspace root
- It followed the same behavior as the CLI
- After: When a formatting request is made, it finds-up for a config file starting from the target file and then caches
- Unlike Oxlint, Oxfmt does not have the concept of a root config, so this approach is sufficient
- In the first place, I don't see any reason to parse a config file when you don't even know if it's going to be used
- Unchanged:
- It still resolves a single `.prettierignore` and `.editorconfig` as before
- When `configPath` is specified, it uses only that config file
- For in-memory file, it is resolved by workspace root

feat(oxfmt): Gate vite.config.ts recognition behind VP_VERSION env var ( #21295 )
...
Fixes #20416 for Oxfmt
- Gate `vite.config.ts` recognition behind `VP_VERSION` env var
- With it, only vite.config.ts is recognized
- Without it, excluded from config candidates (.oxfmtrc.json, oxfmt.config.ts are used)
- Refactor JS config loader into `loadJsConfig` / `loadVitePlusConfig` with shared `importJsConfig` helper
- `loadVitePlusConfig` should be updated to use `resolveConfig` from `vite-plus` soon
- Split tests into `vite_config` (non VP mode) and `vite_plus` (VP mode)

fix(oxfmt/lsp): revert #19977 , prefer file extension over languageId for format strategy ( #20623 )
...
closes https://github.com/oxc-project/oxc-vscode/issues/140
Preferring the languageID over the real file extension creates inconsistency between the editor and the CLI.
Reverting the changes from #19977 back to align back with CLI.
This only effects `file://` scheme, where we can expect a real file on a disk. Other schemes are still preferring the languageID, because we do not to what exactly they are relating to.

NOTE: I'll do a self-review and add the test tomorrow.
<details>
<summary>Prompt</summary>
```
# Support `vite.config.*` as a Configuration File
## Target Files
- `vite.config.ts`
- `vite.config.mts`
- `vite.config.cts`
- `vite.config.js`
- `vite.config.mjs`
- `vite.config.cjs`
## Auto-Discovery Priority
When searching for a config file from `cwd` upwards, the following priority applies within the same directory:
1. Tool-specific JSON/JSONC config files (e.g. `.oxfmtrc.json`, `.oxlintrc.json`)
2. Tool-specific JS/TS config files (e.g. `oxfmt.config.ts`, `oxlint.config.ts`)
3. `vite.config.*`
## Extracting Configuration
The default export of `vite.config.*` is expected to contain tool-specific configuration under a dedicated field:
- oxfmt: `.fmt`
- oxlint: `.lint`
If the field does not exist, an error is returned (e.g. `Expected a 'fmt' field in the default export.`).
## Explicit `--config` Flag
When `--config vite.config.ts` is explicitly specified, the same behavior applies. The file name is used to determine whether to extract a nested field.
## LSP
`vite.config.*` files are added to the file watch patterns so that configuration changes trigger a reload.
