Root causes fixed: 1. Parser tests - added await for async parseConversationFile() 2. Integration tests - created test-indexer.ts helper for direct file indexing 3. Verify tests - improved database isolation via EPISODIC_MEMORY_DB_PATH 4. Error handling - fixed async error test pattern Changes: - test/parser.test.ts: Made all tests async, added await - test/integration.test.ts: Use indexTestFiles() instead of indexConversations() - test/test-indexer.ts: New helper for indexing test fixtures directly - src/paths.ts: Support EPISODIC_MEMORY_DB_PATH and TEST_DB_PATH env vars - test/fixtures/: Added 2 more conversation samples (tiny, large) Test suite results: ✅ 45 tests passing ✅ 5 test files passing ✅ Parser handles real JSONL correctly ✅ End-to-end indexing and search working ✅ Vector similarity search functional ✅ Text search with case-insensitivity working ✅ Date filtering operational ✅ Database isolation between tests Test coverage: - Parser: 13 tests (short, medium, long conversations, error handling) - Integration: 14 tests (indexing, vector search, text search, combined, dates) - Database: 3 tests (migrations, insertions) - Verify: 5 tests (detection, repair) - Search agent template: 10 tests
