Julius Brussee 3e62063e40 fix(codex): compress array-shaped tool output, record route eligibility, stop config self-corruption and hook stacking
Live-tested Codex 0.149 through the proxy and found four defects:

- proxy: custom_tool_call_output.output is an ARRAY of input_text parts on
Codex 0.149+. The Responses extractor accepted only the string form, so
every real Codex tool turn had an empty live zone and the subscription
route compressed nothing (75-116 KB requests, zero savings). The captured
real request now compresses; regression test pins the array shape.
- proxy: the /chatgpt route never recorded compression eligibility, so the
CLI told every Codex subscription user "your agent never reached the
compression layer" even when routing worked.
- cli: codexNativeConfig ran the legacy table strippers before removing its
own marker blocks; the stripper swallowed the tables end marker, so the
block enable had just written failed its own re-parse as "corrupted" on
the next wrap and doctor reported drift forever. Markers come off first.
- cli: nativeHooksDocument matched caveman hook entries by exact command
string, so a binary path change (upgrade, moved install) appended a new
hook set per event instead of replacing it. Match on managed identity.

Julius Brussee aab1607795 fix(cli): restore Claude Code tool search when taking over ANTHROPIC_BASE_URL
Pointing ANTHROPIC_BASE_URL at the local proxy makes Claude Code treat the
host as non-first-party and drop tool search, inlining every MCP tool schema
on every request (~48k extra prompt tokens on a 4-server setup). Both the
native enable path and the wrap env now default ENABLE_TOOL_SEARCH=auto —
never clobbering an explicit user value — and disable withdraws only the
value it introduced.

Julius Brussee 82864c8f4c feat: ship Caveman 2.0.0 — engine, proxy, SDKs, unified CLI
Single-commit port of the Caveman 2 tree onto the original repo history
(candidate caveman-2@88878a4 applied over main@3098342). No unrelated-history
merge; original history untouched.

Preserved v1 surfaces:
- skills/caveman/SKILL.md byte-for-byte, plus plugin mirror and caveman.skill zip
- legacy CI (Node 18/20/22 installer + Python 3.11 suites) alongside engine-ci
- cli/install.js compatibility shim forwarding to bin/install.js
- .codex/config.toml ships both hooks and codex_hooks for older Codex (#617)
- README Trendshift + Skills.sh badges and local star-history asset
- v1.10.0-pinned curl installs; benchmarks/tmp-starcharts ignore rules

Fixed for public same-repo release:
- SECURITY.md vulnerability reporting points at this repository
- release-binaries.yml publishes to this repo via job-scoped GITHUB_TOKEN
(cross-repo PAT removed); binary-release environment still gates signing
- packages/cli/PUBLISHING.md rewritten for packages/ layout and same-repo flow
- profile-contract and provider-catalog lanes skip lane-scope gates on
initial import so the launch PR can gate on their real validation steps
- ANNOUNCEMENT.md network claim corrected: compression is local; requests
still go to the provider you configured

Caveman 2 stays opt-in: bin-v1.0.0 binaries and @caveman-ai/cli publish
separately after this lands and soaks.
