A new plugin:validate script runs `claude plugin validate` against the marketplace catalog and the plugin directory, and CI runs it as a blocking, non-strict step. The validator ships inside @anthropic-ai/claude-code, so the schema tracks upstream without a vendored copy; the CI install is pinned (2.1.175) for reproducible builds, with the bump policy and the single warning blocking strict mode documented in the workflow. npm (not bun x) installs the CLI in CI: bun blocks the package's required postinstall and cannot resolve its bin name, and bun run rewrites npx inside package.json scripts to the broken bun x path.
