📚 Core Documentation

For Developers

For AI Assistants

🛡️ Quality & Trust (NEW in v1.1.0)

The Problem: Quality audit scored 8.6/10 but missed 81% of skills being invisible.

The Solution: 5-layer automated validation system ensuring 100% resource discoverability.

Documentation

Key Features

✅ Automated registry validation tests ✅ CI/CD enforcement (blocks incomplete registry) ✅ Quality auditor Phase 0 mandatory checks ✅ 100% resource discoverability (up from 19%) ✅ Full trust through automation

Files Updated:

  • tests/registry-validation.test.ts - Comprehensive automated tests
  • .github/workflows/ci.yml - Mandatory registry-validation job
  • SKILLS/quality-auditor/SKILL.md - Phase 0 mandatory checks
  • package.json - test:registry, validate, update-registry scripts

💰 Cost Efficiency Guardrails (NEW in v1.1.0)

The Problem: Projects wasting time/money building expensive solutions before validating viability.

The Solution: Validation-first development with time limits, budget constraints, and cheaper alternatives.

Documentation

Key Features

✅ 5-phase validation workflow with strict time limits ✅ Budget constraints per phase (<$200 for MVP) ✅ Cheaper alternatives before expensive implementations ✅ ROI justification required ✅ Prevents analysis paralysis

Examples:

  • RAG: Try FAQ page ($0) → Keyword search ($20/mo) → RAG ($200-500/mo)
  • Multi-agent: Try single agent first → Then coordinate → Then multi-agent
  • Infrastructure: Try Vercel/Railway ($20/mo) → PaaS → Custom AWS

Skills Updated:

  • SKILLS/rag-implementer/SKILL.md - Prerequisites & cost warnings
  • (5 more technical skills to be updated)

🔧 System Documentation

Auto-Sync System

Build & CI/CD

🖥️ CLI Documentation

Common Commands:

ai-dev sync # Sync all resources
ai-dev update # Update from registry
ai-dev validate # Run validation tests
npm run test:registry # Test registry completeness
npm run update-registry # Update registry from files
