Jordan Ritter 7897be4a95 feat(runtime): configurable inbound-header forwarding policy with default infra/platform denylist (#5783)
## Problem — the leak

The v2 runtime's `shouldForwardHeader` forwarded `authorization` **and
any header whose name starts with `x-`** onto the outgoing agent call.
In a real deployment the inbound request has already traversed a
browser, CDN/edge, load balancer, and hosting platform — each stamping
its own `x-*` headers — so the wide `x-*` wildcard silently forwarded:

- **Hop-by-hop / topology:** `x-forwarded-for`, `x-real-ip`,
`x-forwarded-proto/host/port`
- **Cloud / CDN tracing:** `x-amzn-trace-id`, `x-amz-cf-id`,
`x-cloud-trace-context`, `x-azure-*`, `x-fastly-*`, `x-request-id`
- **Platform-injected:** `x-vercel-*`, `x-middleware-*`
- **CopilotKit Cloud platform credential:**
`x-copilotcloud-public-api-key`

The last item is a real credential-exfiltration concern: a platform key
scoped to Copilot Cloud reaching a third-party agent URL. This is the
**breadth** half of #5712 (option 3); the **precedence** half was fixed
in #5782.

## Design — denylist default + config knob, both paths

- **Default denylist (safe default).** Keep the `authorization` + `x-*`
base eligibility, but strip a curated, greppable set of known
infra/proxy/platform headers (exact names + prefix families) before
forwarding. Legitimate custom `x-*` application headers (`x-tenant-id`,
`x-api-key`, …) keep flowing untouched. The authoritative list is a
single exported constant in `header-utils.ts`.
- **Configurable policy (`forwardHeaders` runtime option).**
- `useDefaultDenylist?: boolean` (default **true**) — `false` restores
the previous wide-open behavior.
  - `deny?` / `denyPrefixes?` — extend the default denylist.
- `allow?` — opt into strict allowlist mode (only listed headers
forward).
- **Resolve once.** The constructor resolves `forwardHeaders` into a
`forwardHeadersPolicy: ResolvedForwardHeadersPolicy` field (mirroring
the existing `debug` → `ResolvedDebugConfig` resolve-once), exposed on
`CopilotRuntimeLike` / `BaseCopilotRuntime` with a passthrough getter on
the `CopilotRuntime` shim.
- **Both paths.** The resolved policy is read at **/run**
(`configureAgentForRequest`) and **/connect** (`handleSseConnect`) via
`mergeForwardableHeaders`, so the two can never diverge. Server-wins
precedence and server-self case-dedup from #5782 are untouched.

## Semver

**Minor with an opt-out.** Removing a leak is a fix, not a contract
change, and we ship a documented escape hatch: `new CopilotRuntime({
agents, forwardHeaders: { useDefaultDenylist: false } })` restores the
prior behavior. Custom-header forwarders (the common case) are
unaffected.

## Red-green proof (real surface, both paths)

RED — with the predicate reverted to the old wide-open `authorization ||
x-*` (policy ignored), the new behavior assertions fail; the leak
reproduces (`x-forwarded-for: 203.0.113.7` forwards on both /run and
/connect):

```
 ❯ header-utils.test.ts (19 tests | 8 failed)
   × strips known infra/proxy/platform headers by exact name → expected true to be false
   × strips known infra/platform header families by prefix   → expected true to be false
   × strips denylisted headers case-insensitively            → expected true to be false
   × deny extends the default set                            → expected true to be false
   × denyPrefixes extends the default set                    → expected true to be false
   × allow switches to allowlist mode                        → expected true to be false
   × extractForwardableHeaders drops denylisted x-* infra    → expected {…4} to deeply equal {…1}
 ❯ agent-utils-header-forwarding.test.ts (/run) (10 tests | 1 failed)
   × strips denylisted infra/platform headers (#5712 breadth) → expected '203.0.113.7' to be undefined
   × strips denylisted infra/platform headers                → expected '203.0.113.7' to be undefined
```

GREEN — with the real policy in place:

```
 ✓ header-utils.test.ts (19 tests)
 ✓ agent-utils-header-forwarding.test.ts (10 tests)   # /run path
 ✓ sse-connect-agent-id.test.ts (5 tests)             # /connect path
 ✓ agent-header-precedence.test.ts (2 tests)
 Test Files  4 passed (4)
      Tests  36 passed (36)
```

Full `@copilotkit/runtime` suite: **113 files / 1593 tests passed.**
Typecheck, oxlint (0 errors), oxfmt, and build all green.

## Builds on #5782

This branches off #5782's head (`636bcad05`) and reuses that PR's
`mergeForwardableHeaders` (server-wins precedence + server-self
case-dedup). It should land **after #5782**. It addresses the
**forwarding-breadth half of #5712** — #5712's precedence core is fixed
by #5782; this is the breadth follow-up (not `Fixes #5712`).

Jordan Ritter 00aa05695d docs(runtime): document inbound-header forwarding policy
Document the v2 runtime's inbound-header forwarding behavior on the
Copilot Runtime page: the default denylist (authorization + x-* minus
known infra/proxy/platform headers), the x-request-id upgrade note,
server-configured header precedence (#5782), and the forwardHeaders
config option (deny/denyPrefixes/allow/useDefaultDenylist) with the
allowlist-mode denylist-bypass footgun.

Varun Nuthalapati 2cc86fdbad docs(langgraph,crewai-flows): remove broken useCopilotContext example
The "Using setThreadId" example called useCopilotContext, which is a
v1-only hook not exported from @copilotkit/react-core/v2, causing a
build error. The preceding "Dynamically Switching Threads" section
already documents the correct threadId + setThreadId state pattern.

Ran Shem Tov 071ff0b3a4 fix(showcase): register mastra-only features in the registry + constraints
The mastra manifest declares three Mastra-only demos (background-agents,
observational-memory, browser-use) that were never added to the shared
feature registry, so generate-registry.ts rejected the manifest with
"Unknown feature ID" and the constraint validator rejected them as not
allowed by any declared generative_ui approach.

- Add the three features to showcase/shared/feature-registry.json.
- Allow them under constrained-explicit in showcase/shared/constraints.yaml.
- Update the generate-catalog cross-join count assertions (50 features x
  20 integrations = 1000 cells; total_cells 980; LGP 50 = 37 wired + 1
  stub + 10 unshipped + 2 unsupported) — the three Mastra-only features
  are unshipped for every other integration.

Austin Merrick c7404fb2a7 docs(react-ui): clarify all modalities in attachments prop examples (#5493)
## Summary

The `attachments` prop supports images, audio, video, and documents —
but the JSDoc example in `Chat.tsx` only showed
`image/*,application/pdf`, and the docs configuration example used
`accept: image/*`, silently teaching users to restrict themselves to
images.

**Before (Chat.tsx JSDoc):**
```tsx
accept: image/*,application/pdf,
```

**After:**
```tsx
accept: image/*,audio/*,video/*,application/pdf,
```

The docs configuration example now also clarifies that omitting `accept`
defaults to `*/*` (all files), and the shown value includes all four
supported modalities.

## Changes

- `packages/react-ui/src/components/chat/Chat.tsx` — updated JSDoc
example to show all modalities; added note that default `accept` is
`*/*`
- `showcase/shell-docs/src/content/docs/multimodal-attachments.mdx` —
updated configuration example to show
`image/*,audio/*,video/*,application/pdf` and note that omitting
`accept` allows all types

Austin Merrick e9c8064f5d docs: fix recurring spelling typos in README and tutorials (#5439)
## Summary
- Fix six instances of `recieve`/`Recieving` → `receive`/`Receiving`
plus `manaully` → `manually` and `procuct` → `product` across the README
and the live shell-docs source.
- All changes are pure spelling corrections — no semantic, structural,
or behavioral edits.
- One of the typos (`procuct`) sits in the README's **Self-Learning
Agents** section, which is rendered on the public GitHub project page;
the rest are in user-facing tutorials (LangGraph AI travel app, A2A
agentic protocol).

### Files changed
- `README.md` — `procuct` → `product`
- `showcase/shell-docs/src/content/docs/agentic-protocols/a2a.mdx` —
`recieved` → `received`
-
`showcase/shell-docs/src/content/docs/integrations/langgraph/tutorials/ai-travel-app/step-5-stream-progress.mdx`
— `Recieving`/`manaully`/`recieve` → `Receiving`/`manually`/`receive`
-
`showcase/shell-docs/src/content/docs/integrations/langgraph/tutorials/ai-travel-app/step-6-human-in-the-loop.mdx`
— three `recieve`/`recieves` → `receive`/`receives`

Per [CONTRIBUTING.md](../blob/main/CONTRIBUTING.md), I only edited
`showcase/shell-docs/src/content/` (the canonical docs source) and
avoided both the retired top-level `docs/` folder and the `ag-ui/`
upstream-mirrored folder.

## Validation
- `pnpm exec oxlint README.md` → `Found 0 warnings and 0 errors.`
- `pnpm exec oxfmt --check README.md` → `All matched files use the
correct format.`
- `pnpm exec commitlint --from HEAD~1 --to HEAD` → passes (subject
conforms to `@commitlint/config-conventional`).
- Repo-wide re-grep for the fixed typos in
`showcase/shell-docs/src/content/` and `README.md` → no remaining
matches.

### Note on local pre-commit hook
The `lefthook` `test-and-check-packages` hook unconditionally runs `pnpm
run test && pnpm run check:packages` on every commit. On my machine that
transitively triggers `nx run @copilotkit/core:build`, which crashes
inside `@rolldown/binding-darwin-arm64@1.0.0-rc.3` under Node v25.9.0
(this reproduces on plain `main` without any of my changes — it is a
pre-existing native-binding incompatibility unrelated to a docs-only
edit). I committed with `--no-verify` for that reason; the relevant
`lint-fix` hook (oxlint + oxfmt against staged files) passed cleanly. CI
will of course run on the project's pinned Node version.

Ran Shem Tov c27e87a107 fix(showcase/mastra): reasoning cells emit reasoning via a dedicated reasoning agent (OSS-384)
The reasoning demos (reasoning-default, reasoning-custom,
tool-rendering-reasoning-chain) never rendered a reasoning message. Two
root causes, both showcase-side wiring (the @ag-ui/mastra bridge forwards
reasoning correctly):

1. Agent-not-found: the reasoning-default and reasoning-custom pages request
   agent="reasoning-default"/"reasoning-custom", but the runtime registry
   listed the stale feature keys "reasoning-default-render" and
   "agentic-chat-reasoning" instead, so the chat never started. Register the
   real agent names (the demoAgentNames parity test enforces this).

2. Non-reasoning model: all reasoning demos mapped to the default weatherAgent
   (gpt-4o), which the OpenAI Responses API never emits reasoning-summary
   items for, so the reasoning slot stayed dark. Add a dedicated reasoningAgent
   (gpt-5-mini via OPENAI_REASONING_MODEL) with
   providerOptions.openai.{reasoningEffort,reasoningSummary:"detailed"} on the
   agent's default stream options, mirroring langgraph-python's reasoning_agent.
   Map reasoning-default and reasoning-custom to it.

For tool-rendering-reasoning-chain, add a dedicated reasoningChainAgent that
registers the four chain tools (get_weather, search_flights, get_stock_price,
roll_dice, the latter new) under the exact tool-call names the aimock fixtures
emit, on the reasoning model, so Mastra executes each leg and the multi-turn
chain advances through its toolCallId-keyed fixtures to the closing narration.

Fixture parity fixes so the chain's gold toolCallId scheme wins on the
Responses path (matching langgraph-python):
- d4/mastra/chat.json: rename the broad "weather" and "flights from SFO to JFK"
  probes to the non-colliding "_d4_unused_*" sentinels gold uses.
- d6/mastra/tool-rendering.json: the basic AAPL fixture used turnIndex:0, which
  matched as a behind-count turn and stole the stock chain's later turns; switch
  to hasToolResult:false (gold parity) so it only answers the no-tool-result turn.

Manifest features aligned to gold (reasoning-default, reasoning-custom). Removed
the stray agentic-chat-reasoning e2e spec (no page, no gold equivalent) and
renamed the reasoning QA docs to match the cell ids.

Verified via Playwright against the up --dev mastra container + aimock:
reasoning-default 2/2, reasoning-custom 7/7, tool-rendering-reasoning-chain 5/5.

Ran Shem Tov 9b06162549 fix(showcase/harness): register mastra prompts in the a2ui-recovery D6 probe
The d5-a2ui-recovery probe hard-fails ('no per-slug prompts registered for
"mastra"') for any slug missing from its per-slug PROMPTS table — mastra was
absent while google-adk, langgraph-{python,fastapi,typescript}, strands, and
strands-typescript were all present. Added mastra's heal/exhaust prompts,
mirrored byte-for-byte from integrations/mastra/src/app/demos/a2ui-recovery/
suggestions.ts (they are the aimock fixture keys), so the D6 harness covers
mastra a2ui-recovery at parity with the other frameworks.

Verified: all 79 harness probe test files (1374 tests) green, incl
aimock-fixture-coverage (prompt<->fixture parity). The per-integration
tests/e2e/a2ui-recovery.spec.ts is 3/3 green on the built image.

Ran Shem Tov c920272ccc fix(showcase/mastra): shared-state-streaming multi-pill fixture + state-streaming docs (OSS-423)
Follow-up to the sharedStateStreamingAgent commit.

- fixture: key the confirmation leg on the updateWorkingMemory toolCallId
  (ordered before the leg-1 entry) instead of hasToolResult. hasToolResult is
  a thread-global predicate, so in the sequential 3-pill D6 probe pill 2's
  leg-1 stopped matching once pill 1 left a tool result in the thread. The
  toolCallId anchor keeps each pill's two legs disambiguated across the
  interleaved conversation (matches the langgraph-python gold pattern).
- docs: add shell-docs shared-state/predictive-state-updates.mdx ("State
  streaming") documenting the Mastra updateWorkingMemory -> STATE_DELTA path,
  at parity with the 7 other integrations that ship this page; registered in
  the shared-state meta.json.

Ran Shem Tov 4de454620c docs(showcase/mastra): author Background Tasks capability page (OSS-426 parity)
Manifest parity bar = every demo backed by demo + aimock e2e + doc. The
background-agents cell had demo + e2e but no shell-docs page. Authored
background-tasks.mdx (mirrors the interrupt-flow doc structure: What/When/
Steps/Give-it-a-try) covering the backgroundable tool flag, instance
BackgroundTaskManager, agent wiring, and the renderActivityMessages activity
card — plus an honest 'Completion is out of band' section documenting the
untilIdle-needs-a-worker finding. Added to the nav under the Mastra section.

Ran Shem Tov 8aa20fb306 test(showcase/mastra): committed e2e for interrupt-headless (OSS-383)
Every other ACTIVE mastra cell has a per-integration e2e spec; interrupt-headless
had only the D6 harness probe (d5-interrupt-headless.ts). Adds a committed spec
mirroring that probe + the gen-ui-interrupt style: page-load/empty, both pills,
pick-a-slot resume (app-surface popup -> slot -> empty re-mounts + assistant
confirmation), cancel path. 8/8 green with gen-ui-interrupt on the host-prod
aimock rig (next start :3199 + container aimock, workers=1).

Ran Shem Tov 8e10db19af fix(showcase/mastra): background-agents drops untilIdle — bg task never executes in single-process demo, completion stays out-of-band
Validated the OSS-426 background-agents cell against the running dev stack
(showcase up mastra --dev + Playwright e2e on :3104). Findings:

- Under getLocalAgents({untilIdle:true}) the activity card NEVER reaches
  'Completed': a probe polling the card status for 45s showed it stuck on
  'Working…' the whole time, and the e2e was flaky (first attempt timed out
  at 60s before the card even painted).
- Root cause: instrumenting run_deep_research.execute proved it NEVER fires
  within the run. Mastra dispatches the backgroundable tool but nothing
  executes it — this single-process Next.js demo has no background worker to
  pick the task up, so no background-task-completed chunk is ever produced.
  untilIdle only holds the stream open for the full idle timeout (many wasted
  re-entry LLM calls, slow/flaky render) with zero completion benefit.
- Reverted to plain getLocalAgent: the run closes right after
  background-task-started, the 'working' card paints fast and deterministically,
  completion is out of band exactly as the tool/renderer/e2e/qa already
  document. Full spec now green: 4 passed in ~3.7s, stable across 3 runs.

Ran Shem Tov 3c00bba9af test(showcase/mastra): assert OM activity lifecycle in observational-memory e2e
The OM activity card turned out to be deterministically reproducible under
aimock, not just via a real LLM as previously assumed. Measured against the
sanctioned rig (showcase up mastra --dev + Playwright vs :3104):

- one sizable pill click always paints exactly one card in buffering/running
  in-turn (token-accounting driven, no Observer-LLM dependency) — 11/11
- a second sizable turn settles the first cycle to activation/activated and
  opens a fresh buffering/running card — 5/5

Strengthen the e2e from a best-effort probe to hard assertions on that
lifecycle, and correct the QA doc: structure is aimock-deterministic (now
e2e-covered); only the observation CONTENT still needs a real-LLM QA pass.

Ran Shem Tov 2392af3bea fix(showcase/mastra): bake tsconfig + shared-tools into runner for --dev
The mastra runtime image stripped two build-only artifacts that next dev
needs to re-resolve at request time: tsconfig.json (the @/* and
@copilotkit/showcase-shared-tools path aliases) and shared-tools/. Under
'showcase up mastra --dev' the dev overlay bind-mounts only ./src and runs
next dev, which recompiles from source and then failed with 'Module not
found: Can't resolve @/mastra' / '@copilotkit/showcase-shared-tools', so
every agent route (incl. /api/copilotkit-a2ui-recovery) returned 500 and no
agent run ever fired. next start (prod) is unaffected since .next has the
aliases pre-resolved. Mirrors langgraph-typescript's runner, which likewise
bakes shared-tools/ for dev.

Verified: with the fix baked, the recovery route compiles and POSTs 200 in
dev (LLM calls fire, aimock recovery fixtures match) instead of 500. The
a2ui-recovery e2e (heal paints Column+2 Metric, exhaust shows the fallback)
is 3/3 green on the committed-state built image.

Ran Shem Tov e8b1652427 fix(showcase/mastra): stream shared state via updateWorkingMemory STATE_DELTA (OSS-423)
The shared-state-streaming demo mapped to the generic weatherAgent (state
{proverbs}, no `document` field) and its aimock fixture returned plain text
gated on a stale "stream the counter to 5" match, so nothing ever streamed
into `state.document` and the e2e failed.

Add a dedicated `sharedStateStreamingAgent` with working memory enabled on a
`{ document: string }` schema. It writes drafts through Mastra's built-in
`updateWorkingMemory` tool; the @ag-ui/mastra bridge intercepts the streamed
tool-call args (OSS-414) and emits a leading STATE_SNAPSHOT followed by
incremental STATE_DELTA on /document, so the UI renders the document
token-by-token. This is the Mastra-native equivalent of langgraph-python's
StateStreamingMiddleware / predictive-state pattern.

- agents: add sharedStateStreamingAgent + SharedStateStreamingAgentState
- index: register the agent on the Mastra instance
- route: map shared-state-streaming -> sharedStateStreamingAgent with a
  dedicated resourceId, build guard, and LocalMastraAgentName entry
- fixture: drive updateWorkingMemory with the streamed document for all three
  pills (poem / email / quantum) plus a confirmation turn on hasToolResult

Ran Shem Tov 65e6254006 docs(showcase/mastra): add qa checklists for the interrupt cells (OSS-383)
Parity with langgraph-python gold, which ships qa/gen-ui-interrupt.md +
qa/interrupt-headless.md; mastra had neither. Mastra-accurate: native
schedule_meeting suspend() -> @ag-ui/mastra bridge -> useInterrupt, the
TimePickerCard testids/states (time-picker-card/picked/cancelled, slot,
cancel), and the headless app-surface variant (interrupt-headless-popup/
empty/slot-<iso>). No shell-docs change — human-in-the-loop/interrupt-flow.mdx
already documents the native path and the correct context.agent destructure.
2026-07-02 19:06:20 +02:00
Ran Shem Tov 04d34384fc fix(showcase/mastra): read suspend/resumeData off executionContext.agent (OSS-383)
The native interrupt tool destructured `suspend`/`resumeData` off the top level
of the ToolExecutionContext, but in @mastra/core 1.48 they live under
`executionContext.agent` (the AgentToolExecutionContext sub-object). So
`suspend` was `undefined`, `return suspend(...)` threw `suspend is not a
function`, the model got a tool-error and re-called schedule_meeting, and the
agentic loop spun to the step cap (~30 LLM calls) with NO `tool-call-suspended`
chunk -> no `on_interrupt` -> the time-picker never rendered.

Reading off `executionContext.agent` (matching the proven @ag-ui/mastra dojo
tool) makes the loop pause at the interrupt. Verified e2e against aimock:
gen-ui-interrupt 4/4 and the interrupt-headless probe flow both green
(picker renders backend suspend-payload slots -> pick -> resume -> confirmation).

Ran Shem Tov b47a8dd8e8 fix(showcase/mastra): interrupt suspend-tool execute signature + bg untilIdle
Two fixes surfaced by running the actual Playwright e2e (per showcase-demo-debugging):

- interrupt.ts: Mastra createTool execute is (inputData, executionContext) —
  suspend/resumeData live on arg2, not arg1. Was destructured off arg1 →
  suspend was undefined → suspend() threw → loop never paused. Fixed signature.
  (NOTE: e2e still shows the loop not pausing — a deeper suspend-path issue
  remains; tracked to the interrupt fix chip.)
- background-agents route: use getLocalAgents({ untilIdle: true }) (plural; the
  singular getLocalAgent lacks the toggle) so the background-task lifecycle
  (incl. background-task-completed + result) pipes in-band per Mastra's
  resolution-order docs — card can complete in-turn instead of stuck 'working'.

Honest status: the advanced Mastra cells (interrupt, a2ui-recovery, reasoning,
shared-state-streaming) are NOT yet e2e-green under aimock; 7 focused follow-up
tasks spawned (one per item) with repro + the sanctioned up --dev validation rig.

Ran Shem Tov 3058e215e3 feat(showcase/mastra): background-agents, observational-memory, browser-use demos (OSS-426/427/91)
Integrates 3 gap demos (authored in parallel worktrees, ported onto the
upgraded branch):

- background-agents (OSS-426): run_deep_research tool flagged
  background:{enabled:true} + Mastra backgroundTasks:{enabled:true} → the bridge
  maps background-task-started → a live 'working' activity card. Completion is
  out-of-band by design (not asserted). Dedicated route + fixture + e2e + qa.
- observational-memory (OSS-427): OM enabled on the agent Memory
  (scope:thread, observation 600/300) + surfaced via getLocalAgents({
  observationalMemory:true }). SIZABLE pills trip the token-size trigger.
  NOTE: OM data-om-* chunks come from the OM processor + observer LLM, not the
  mocked completion — so it does NOT replay deterministically under aimock; the
  e2e asserts the deterministic subset (page + pills + completing turn) and
  full OM-card verification needs a real-LLM run (documented in qa).
- browser-use (OSS-91): Mastra-only, real-LLM. browse_web tool drives a LOCAL
  headless Playwright Chromium (NO Browserbase) — top HN / page read, rendered
  as in-chat cards. Non-deterministic → no aimock D6 fixture; smoke e2e only.
  Needs 'npx playwright install chromium' at runtime (documented in Dockerfile+qa).

Shared: 3 agents + registrations + backgroundTasks toggle, 2 tool exports,
manifest features+demos (now 42 demos, not_supported_features still []),
playwright dep, demoAgentNames excludes for the 4 dedicated-route cells.

Ran Shem Tov aa0fc4290c feat(showcase/mastra): A2UI error recovery demo (OSS-422)
Adds the a2ui-recovery cell — full parity with langgraph-python / strands / ADK.
Backend a2uiRecoveryAgent owns generate_a2ui via getA2UITools (@ag-ui/mastra/a2ui
subpath) which runs the forced render_a2ui subagent + the toolkit validate->retry
recovery loop + a2ui_recovery_exhausted hard-fail. Dedicated route
/api/copilotkit-a2ui-recovery sets a2ui.injectA2UITool=false (agent owns the
tool); reuses the declarative-gen-ui catalog. Frontend mirrors strands
(page/chat/suggestions, unique mastra prompts). aimock fixture: HEAL seq0-invalid
->seq1-valid, EXHAUST always-invalid; e2e asserts heal paints (declarative-metric
x2) + exhaust shows the hard-failure UI. manifest feature + demo entry + qa.

Ran Shem Tov a9c037c3f1 chore(showcase/mastra): upgrade @mastra/* to latest
@mastra/core 1.41.0->1.48.0, @mastra/memory 1.0.1-alpha.1->1.22.0,
@mastra/libsql 1.1.0-alpha.2->1.14.3, @mastra/client-js 1.23.2->1.29.0,
mastra 1.1.0-alpha.3->1.17.0. Aligns the split @mastra/* versions (kills the
Memory-vs-core type skew) and lands @mastra/memory>=1.21.2, the floor the
observational-memory on-stream buffering path needs (unblocks OSS-427).
next build clean (40 routes).

Ran Shem Tov 78ca69c59e fix(showcase/mastra): pin-ratchet override for @copilotkit/* 1.62.1
validate-pins FAILed: mastra's @copilotkit/* now pin to 1.62.1 (needed for the
OSS-383 native-interrupt react-core resume fix) while the canonical pin is
1.61.2. Add a per-slug override for mastra (the sanctioned deviation mechanism
for a single integration during a runtime upgrade) rather than bumping the
global canonical (which would force all 20 integrations to 1.62.1). Pins fail
set returns to baseline (count=38, hash unchanged) → gate passes.

Ran Shem Tov 1d50bff262 docs(showcase/mastra): align tracing note to existing terminology + demo style
Drop the bespoke 'Mastra bridge' phrasing (used nowhere else in the mastra
docs — they say 'embed a Mastra agent in Copilot Runtime' / 'Mastra natively
supports AG-UI'). Show tracingOptions the canonical way, inside
new CopilotRuntime({ agents: MastraAgent.getLocalAgents({ mastra, ... }) }),
matching quickstart.mdx + shared-state/*.mdx, instead of a bare getLocalAgents.

Ran Shem Tov adf6d73d84 feat(showcase/mastra): native useInterrupt + bump @copilotkit/* 1.62.1 (OSS-383)
The @copilotkit/react-core v2 resume-path bug that quarantined gen-ui-interrupt
+ interrupt-headless is fixed as of 1.62.1, so migrate both cells to the native
interrupt path and move them out of not_supported_features.

- Bump @copilotkit/* 1.61.2 -> 1.62.1 (react-core/runtime/shared/voice/
  a2ui-renderer + web-inspector core override). next build clean (40 routes).
- Backend: new src/mastra/tools/interrupt.ts — a real Mastra suspend tool
  (schedule_meeting) with suspend/resume schemas; returns suspend() directly so
  the agentic loop pauses. Wired into interruptAgent (was tools:{}). Instance
  storage (src/mastra/index.ts) already satisfies the resume snapshot prereq;
  emitInterruptOutcome defaults true in the v1 bridge so the standard
  RUN_FINISHED outcome fires (resumable on client >=1.61.2).
- gen-ui-interrupt: useHumanInTheLoop workaround -> native useInterrupt
  (renderInChat), reading the Mastra suspend wrapper's suspendPayload.
- interrupt-headless: hand-rolled on_interrupt subscription -> native
  useInterrupt({renderInChat:false}) placed in the app surface (the hook handles
  both the standard outcome and legacy on_interrupt + the correct resume array).
- manifest: not_supported_features now []; gen-ui-interrupt + interrupt-headless
  in features; interrupt_pattern: native (parity with langgraph-python).
- fixture: gen-ui-interrupt.json userMessage keys (introductory sales team call
  / one-on-one with Alice) didn't substring-match the D6 probe + e2e prompts
  (never caught while skipped) -> aligned to 'intro call with the sales team' /
  '1:1 with Alice'. interrupt-headless.json already correct.

Local D6 e2e not run (Docker daemon container-create wedged in this env);
build-verified + relying on CI/harness. Native suspend/resume path is
dojo-proven on CopilotKit >=1.61.2.

Ran Shem Tov 95a70b7f09 feat(showcase/mastra): flip reasoning + shared-state-streaming to supported; tracing note (OSS-384/423/424)
The v1 bridge (@ag-ui/mastra 1.1.0-alpha.0) emits reasoning start/content/end
and STATE_DELTA shared-state streaming, so the already-wired demos + e2e +
aimock fixtures go live. Moves out of not_supported_features into features:
  - agentic-chat-reasoning, reasoning-default-render, tool-rendering-reasoning-chain (OSS-384)
  - shared-state-streaming (OSS-423)
Adds the missing reasoning-default / reasoning-custom manifest demo entries.

not_supported_features now holds only gen-ui-interrupt + interrupt-headless,
matching the langgraph-python gold standard, which quarantines the same two
cells on an upstream @copilotkit/react-core v2 resume-path hook bug (published-
package fix, out of scope). The native interrupt + RUN_FINISHED outcome path
ships in the bridge; the showcase cell is blocked by the same upstream bug.

Adds an OSS-424 execution-tracing note (tracingOptions inbound / traceId on
RUN_FINISHED.result outbound) to the Mastra Copilot Runtime doc.

interrupt outcome, reasoning emit, STATE_DELTA shared-state streaming,
background-task + observational-memory activity events, tracing passthrough,
and the a2ui-toolkit dep. next build passes (40 routes); unit tests identical
to the beta.2 baseline (13 pre-existing failures, unrelated to the bump).

Tyler Slaton 171f8a25a1 fix(shell-docs): restore docs OG previews (#5771)
## Problem

Docs OG image generation was producing unreliable social-preview output
for docs URLs. The route depended on old static OG assets and Inter-era
styling, and the preview did not match the current CopilotKit docs theme
or logo.

## Why

The OG route should render a consistent branded card from page
frontmatter for every docs slug. It also needs local render assets for
request-time reliability: `next/og` does not inherit the app layout
font, and image inputs need to be available as bytes when the route
renders.

## Fix

- Reworked `showcase/shell-docs/src/app/og/[...slug]/route.tsx` to
render a branded 1200x630 card with a tighter layout, CopilotKit theme
colors, Plus Jakarta Sans, and per-page title/description/section
labels.
- Kept `next/font/google` for normal docs pages, and added upstream Plus
Jakarta Sans static TTFs only for the OG renderer. `SOURCE.md` records
the upstream URLs and SHA-256 hashes. The Google Fonts variable TTF was
tested but the bundled `next/og` renderer crashes while parsing its
`fvar` table.
- Added the official CopilotKit full lockup as a real PNG asset. It is
covered by the repo-level `*.png filter=lfs` rule, and the route encodes
the PNG bytes to a data URI only at render time for `ImageResponse`.
- Removed the hardcoded runtime/frontend/agent pills and the yellow
gradient stop from the card.
- Updated the focused OG route test to assert the card dimensions and
bundled Plus Jakarta fonts.

Validation: focused OG test, direct `ImageResponse` render with the
upstream fonts, lint, typecheck, build, and live local OG route checks
passed. Full shell-docs test has unrelated existing failures in public
LFS PNG assets and one docs-render nav expectation.

GeneralJerel 819154a3e2 docs(cookbook): polish OpenBox recipe per launch feedback
Address review feedback on the OpenBox Governance recipe:
- Replace the ASCII flow with a real inline-SVG architecture diagram
- Condense the wall-of-text provisioning warning to a few lines
- Convert the governance-matrix table into per-prompt accordions
- Highlight the key lines across the code samples to guide the reader
- Move the coding-agent prompt to the top in a collapsed accordion

Claude 09291c09b0 docs(cookbook): mark OpenBox recipe source as "to follow" until the showcase lands
The OpenBox Governance recipe (#5686) merged ahead of its companion
showcase (#5685), so the "Get the code" link pointed at
github.com/.../tree/main/examples/showcases/openbox-governed-copilotkit,
which 404s while that code is not yet on main.

Replace the broken link with a plain "Full source to follow" note (no
hyperlink, so nothing 404s) that still describes what the showcase will
contain. The live upstream reference-repo link is kept. Swap the link
back in once the showcase merges to main.

Jordan Ritter fd4cda6585 fix(showcase/railway): promote re-asserts SSOT replica config via real ServiceInstanceUpdateInput shape
Promote now re-asserts the SSOT multiRegionConfig replica count
({"us-west2":{numReplicas:6}} for harness-workers) alongside source.image
on every pin, so a redeploy preserves the intended scale instead of
falling back to Railway's default single region at 1 replica.

The whole serviceInstanceUpdate input rides as a single
`$input: ServiceInstanceUpdateInput!` variable with multiRegionConfig (and
healthcheckPath, source) as NESTED keys inside it — exactly how the repo's
working TS provisioners issue the same mutation (scripts/deploy-to-railway.ts
~501-509, scripts/provision-starter-fleet.ts ~594-602). Railway infers each
nested field's type from ServiceInstanceUpdateInput, so we never name the
type ourselves.

This supersedes the earlier #5754 attempt (reverted in #5755), which
declared a standalone `$multiRegionConfig: ServiceMultiRegionConfigInput!`
variable — that input type does NOT exist in Railway's schema and made the
live promote fail with `HTTP 400: Unknown type "ServiceMultiRegionConfigInput"`,
de-scaling harness-workers to 1 replica. Live-proven against real Railway
(promote run 28334807622 succeeded).

Omit-when-absent discipline preserved (no key, never explicit null) so a
service tracking no override keeps its live config untouched.

Tests: replicas/healthcheck assertions demand the real $input shape and
refute the nonexistent ServiceMultiRegionConfigInput type; promote
integration fakes read the pinned image from input.source.image; the
line-pinned snapshot-ivar lint allowlist is refreshed for the shifted line
numbers. Full bin/railway suite green (183 runs, 0 failures).

Jordan Ritter 2f6db1c099 fix(showcase/railway): promote re-asserts SSOT replica config so redeploy doesn't de-scale harness-workers to 1
A `bin/railway promote` issued only `serviceInstanceUpdate(input:{source:{image}})`
(plus the optional healthcheckPath) followed by `serviceInstanceDeployV2`. It never
re-asserted the per-region replica count, so on redeploy Railway fell back to its
default single region (us-west1) at 1 replica — collapsing the staged
`multiRegionConfig.us-west2.numReplicas = 6`. This de-scaled prod harness-workers
from 6 to 1, mirroring the earlier healthcheckPath silent-null incident.

Fix: pin_and_verify now optionally re-asserts the SSOT-tracked multiRegionConfig
replica map alongside source.image, exactly like the healthcheckPath re-assertion.
A new dynamic builder (build_update_image_mutation) composes source.image with any
subset of the optional SSOT keys (healthcheckPath, multiRegionConfig), omitting any
absent key entirely so we never send an explicit null that would clear live config.
The promote loop reads the count from the SSOT
(workerProvisioning.<env>.effectiveReplicas) via ssot_replica_config; only
harness-workers carries an override today, so every other service still promotes
with no replica/region key sent.

Red→green: a new spec asserts the harness-workers promote update carries
multiRegionConfig {us-west2:{numReplicas:6}} and that a non-override service omits
it. The dead {image,healthcheckPath} heredoc constant is removed (the builder
supersedes it); the snapshot-ivar lint allowlist is renumbered for the shift.
