Resolve the single conflict in packages/web-inspector/src/index.ts by keeping
both additions: this branch's CpkMemoryList memory-tab element and main's
ɵCpkThreadDetails back-compat alias (independent top-level declarations).

Add a `licenseUrl` property to the shared element (default
https://docs.copilotkit.ai/intelligence). The locked view's Upgrade CTA now
dispatches a cancelable `licensed` event carrying the url and, unless the
host calls preventDefault(), opens it in a new tab; a blank url suppresses
navigation. React and Angular wrappers expose an optional `licenseUrl` prop.
License-gate the Angular drawer like React: surface `licenseStatus` as a
signal on the CopilotKit service and gate the wrapper on
status valid|expiring && checkFeature("threads"), skipping the thread fetch
while unlicensed and showing the loading state (not the locked view) until
the status resolves. Reverses the earlier always-licensed Angular call.
Closes ENT-1027.
Final naming decision. Renames the public component + element across the
board: React/Angular CopilotDrawer -> CopilotThreadsDrawer, the Lit element
copilotkit-drawer -> copilotkit-threads-drawer (tag, CopilotKitThreadsDrawer
class, COPILOTKIT_THREADS_DRAWER_TAG, defineCopilotKitThreadsDrawer), the
@copilotkit/web-components/drawer subpath -> /threads-drawer (+ src dir),
the CopilotThreadsDrawerRow directive / copilotThreadsDrawerRow input, and
all prose/test references. Generic types (DrawerThread, DrawerFilter),
--cpk-drawer-* tokens, and ::part names are unchanged. Behavior unchanged.
Wires up the previously-dormant pagination plumbing (ENT-1016):
- Element: render a 'Load more' button at the list bottom when hasMore
(and not fetching / not errored), emitting a new load-more event
(LoadMoreDetail). Distinct from retry{scope:'fetch-more'} (error
recovery); both advance pagination.
- React CopilotDrawer: add a limit prop (forwarded to useThreads) and
route load-more to fetchMoreThreads.
- Angular CopilotDrawer: add a limit input (forwarded to injectThreads)
and route load-more to fetchMoreThreads.
Tests: element load-more render + emit + precedence; React limit
forwarding + load-more routing; Angular load-more routing.
Standalone OnPush Angular component wrapping the framework-agnostic
copilotkit-drawer Lit element. Binds live thread state from injectThreads onto
the element (imperative viewChild+effect, per the a2ui-activity-renderer
precedent) and routes the element's DOM events to the ambient
CopilotChatConfiguration + thread mutations. Ships a CopilotDrawerRow directive
for per-row slot projection, host onThreadSelect/onNewThread escape-hatch
callbacks, and <ng-content> slot passthrough (launcher-icon/memories). Uses the
filtered listError for the error panel. Always-licensed (no licensed/upsell
wiring); inline-chat-only (no Layer-2 open-state coordination). Exported from
public-api.
Adds a listError signal that returns only genuine list/mutation errors,
excluding developer/config errors (missing runtime URL, runtime without thread
endpoints) so consumer error UIs do not surface dev strings to end users.
Mirrors react-core's useThreads listError; `error` is unchanged (additive).
CopilotChat reads the ambient config when a provideCopilotChatConfiguration
provider is in scope: input-first precedence ([agentId]/[threadId] win over the
config, matching React), seeding the config from a set [threadId], and driving
the connector with loading-cursor hooks. Standalone <copilot-chat [threadId]>
usage is unchanged when no provider is present. Exports CopilotChatConfiguration
from the package entry point.
connectActiveThread reactively pins the resolved thread onto agent.threadId.
On an explicit switch it connects the agent, owning the loading-cursor + abort
+ detach lifecycle of the standalone connectToAgent path (per-run AbortController
on HttpAgents, a single caught connect chain so a rejecting connect never leaks
an unhandled rejection, and a staleness-guarded cursor settle). On a fresh /
non-explicit switch it clears messages only on a genuine new-thread transition,
never on mount or a same-thread agent swap. Injection-context-only; not exported
on the public surface.
Injectable service mirroring React's CopilotChatConfigurationProvider. Owns
agentId/threadId resolution (controlled prop > override > options > minted
fallback) and the hasExplicitThreadId welcome-screen flag, exposes
setActiveThreadId/startNewThread setters that no-op when the config is
host-controlled, and reserves drawerOpen/registerDrawer hooks for a future
popup/sidebar layer. provideCopilotChatConfiguration aliases the token to a
single instance via useExisting.
CopilotChat message wrappers used viewport-keyed `cpk:sm:px-0`, collapsing
horizontal padding to 0 at any viewport >=640px. The message column is
`max-w-3xl` (768px) centered; the design assumes the chat fills the viewport,
so at >=640px the column has side gutters and inner padding can drop to 0.
But when the chat lives in a sub-viewport-width pane (e.g. the threads drawer
rail beside the chat, ~580px on an 820px iPad-portrait viewport), `sm:px-0`
still fires on viewport width while the 768px column overflows the narrow
pane and sits flush against both edges. The input wrapper looked fine because
it is visually inset by its own pill, so only message text appeared broken.
Make the padding container-relative instead of viewport-relative:
- add `cpk:@container` (container-type: inline-size) to the chat root, and
- switch the message/input/suggestion wrappers from `cpk:sm:px-0` to the
container variant `cpk:@3xl:px-0`.
Padding now tracks the chat's own width and drops to 0 only once the container
is at least as wide as the column's own max-width, so the column has real
gutters; in any narrower pane the `px-4` inner padding is retained. React,
Angular, and Vue kept in lockstep.
Note on the breakpoint: Tailwind v4 container-query breakpoints differ from
viewport breakpoints (`@sm` = 24rem/384px, not 640px). A mechanical
`sm:` -> `@sm:` swap would still collapse the ~580px repro pane. `@3xl`
(48rem/768px) is used because it exactly matches the column's `max-w-3xl`,
which is the width at which side gutters first appear.
Verified: full-width desktop chat unchanged (container >=768px -> px-0);
580px pane retains 16px padding; render-prop layouts without a container
ancestor degrade safely to `px-4`; sidebar/popup `data-*` padding overrides
are unaffected.

Memory, NewMemory, MemoryChanges, MemoryKind, and MemoryScope are the
memory types surfaced by the useMemories / injectMemories hook result
shapes, so export them unprefixed as supported public API instead of
behind the ɵ "internal" marker. Internal memory plumbing (MemoryStore,
the selectMemories* selectors, state/context/event types,
createMemoryStore) keeps the ɵ prefix.
Updates the react-core and angular hook signatures, the web-inspector
Memories tab, and the affected tests to the unprefixed names.
The Angular CopilotChatInput sends the message on Enter without checking
for IME composition, so confirming a CJK candidate with Enter submits the
half-composed text. The React (react-core v2) and Vue (vue v2) bindings of
the same CopilotChatInput already guard this with isComposing/keyCode 229.
Angular signal wrapper over the core thread store: reactive runtime context
(re-dispatches when wsUrl/threadEndpoints arrive), enabled-gated single-slot
registration, bound result methods, and synthesized error/loading parity with
react-core.
- Implemented audio transcription capabilities with error handling.
- Refactored CopilotChat component to utilize a directive for handling attachments.
- Improved CopilotChatReasoningMessage to manage streaming state and elapsed time more efficiently.
- Added new scroll view component for better message display and auto-scrolling behavior.
- Updated styles for A2UI surface components to enhance layout and scrolling.
- Enhanced tests for OpenGenerativeUIRenderer to ensure proper height measurement.
Apply the common Angular CLI schematics to code which has been added
by Soverius.
We can do a follow-up for the high amount of effects, but we have to be
careful. We need tests first to do a refactoring for that.
AgentStore mirrored the agent's messages into a signal via
`this.#messages.set(abstractAgent.messages)`. AbstractAgent.addMessage
pushes in place and notifies with the same array reference, so the
signal's Object.is equality check treats set(sameRef) as a no-op: it
never notifies, the OnPush <copilot-chat> view is never marked dirty,
and a freshly added message (including the user's own on submit) does
not render until the run pipeline reassigns messages to a new array at
run completion.
Copy into a fresh array so the reference changes and the signal
notifies. Message objects stay referentially stable, so trackBy still
avoids re-creating existing bubbles. State is unaffected: AbstractAgent
reassigns this.state to a cloned reference on every change, so its
signal already notifies.
Adds regression tests covering the in-place mutation path: a reference
guard and an OnPush descendant re-render check. Both fail without the
fix.
Fixes#5416
Gate the Angular SDK's "CopilotKit Unlicensed" watermark and "License
Required" console warning behind a LICENSE_WATERMARK_ENABLED flag set to
false. The watermark implementation is retained for easy re-enablement;
the licenseKey option and its X-CopilotCloud-Public-Api-Key header
injection are unchanged.
Adds purely additive data-testid markers to the error and loading UI
surfaces across the frontend framework packages (react-core, react-ui,
react-native, angular, vue) so e2e tests can deterministically detect
errored-out vs still-loading states. Without these, e2e probes hit
~30-60s timeouts instead of failing fast.
Testids (aligned with existing repo convention; copilot-<kebab>):
- copilot-error-banner on react-core BannerErrorDisplay (toast
provider) and UsageBanner, plus react-ui legacy in-chat ErrorMessage.
- copilot-loading-cursor on react-ui legacy LoadingIcon sites
(Messages.tsx, AssistantMessage.tsx), angular
CopilotChatMessageViewCursor, react-native TypingIndicator (via
RN testID convention), and vue CopilotChatMessageView. The v2
react-core Cursor already exposed this testid; this change broadens
it to every frontend framework so a single selector works across all.
Vue's prior copilot-chat-cursor testid is renamed to
copilot-loading-cursor for cross-framework consistency; the two e2e
tests in packages/vue that referenced the old name are updated.
No behavior, rendering, or styling changes. Adds small static
source-asserting tests in each touched package that verify the markers
stay in place.
Core test (core-subscribe-to-agent.test.ts):
- Replace `as any` on RunErrorEvent with proper EventType.RUN_ERROR type
- Consolidate 4 identical lifecycle tests into one `it.each` block
- Extract silenceConsoleError() helper used across 10 error-path tests
- Document the remaining intentional `as any` in guardAll JS-consumer test
Angular test (agent.spec.ts):
- Make MockAgent extend AbstractAgent, removing all 4 `as unknown as AbstractAgent` double casts
- Replace all `any` types with proper AG-UI types (Message, State, AgentSubscriber, etc.)
- Emit helpers now pass correct AgentSubscriberParams instead of empty objects
- Use userMsg() factory for properly typed test data
- Simplify ProxiedCopilotRuntimeAgent assertion with single narrowing
Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 4.6 (1M context) <noreply@anthropic.com>
- Add Error state handling in Angular CopilotkitAgentFactory (parity with React)
- Add emitError to guardAll for dropped callbacks (structured monitoring)
- Add emitError to setDefaultThrottleMs for monitoring parity
- Replace empty .catch(() => {}) with logging pattern on emitError
- Add generic typing to safeCall for call-site parameter safety
- Clarify flushPending comment re: sync-only unsubscribe guard
Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 4.6 (1M context) <noreply@anthropic.com>
- Add `satisfies readonly (keyof AgentSubscriber)[]` to SUBSCRIBE_TO_AGENT_KEYS
so upstream AG-UI renames are caught at compile time
- Fix SubscribeToAgentSubscriber JSDoc: separate AG-UI event handlers (mutation
semantics) from per-item callbacks (void return, excluded for surface area),
note that included lifecycle callbacks also return AgentStateMutation
- Emit invalid throttleMs through emitError so monitoring systems see
misconfiguration, not just console.error
- Add flushPending comment explaining the re-checked `active` flag between
onMessagesChanged and onStateChanged dispatch
- Derive SubscribeToAgentFn from CopilotKitCore['subscribeToAgent'] instead
of manually duplicating the signature (eliminates desync risk)
- Derive StubCore from Pick<CopilotKitCore, ...> in Angular tests
- Add test: async rejection during throttled trailing-edge flush
- Add test: clearing defaultThrottleMs(undefined) makes new subs unthrottled
Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 4.6 (1M context) <noreply@anthropic.com>
AgentStore now receives a SubscribeToAgentFn function instead of a
CopilotKitCore instance. The factory binds core.subscribeToAgent once
and passes the bound function, keeping AgentStore decoupled from the
core class while preserving all throttle and error-protection behavior.

Replace `as any` cast in notifyLifecycle with type-safe branching,
type the re-entrant test callback params via SubscribeToAgentSubscriber,
and replace `Record<string, any>` on Angular stub's core with a
typed StubCore interface.
Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 4.6 (1M context) <noreply@anthropic.com>
- Add ALLOWED_KEYS filter in guardAll to prevent runtime leakage of
extra properties from JS consumers or `as any` casts
- Check `active` flag between flushPending dispatches so unsubscribing
inside onMessagesChanged prevents onStateChanged from firing
- Use real CopilotKitCore instance in Angular test stub instead of
passthrough that bypasses throttle and safeCall logic
- Reword SubscribeToAgentSubscriber and subscribeToAgent JSDoc to
accurately explain why AG-UI event handlers are excluded (mutation
return values silently discarded) rather than implying a clean
return-type split
- Add leading+trailing pattern summary to useAgent throttleMs JSDoc
- Fix setDefaultThrottleMs JSDoc: "logged as errors and ignored"
instead of ambiguous "rejected by the setter"
- Add tests: re-entrant notifications during flush, multiple
simultaneous subscriptions with independent throttle windows,
unsubscribe isolation, unsubscribe-during-flush prevents sibling
Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 4.6 (1M context) <noreply@anthropic.com>
Address review findings from PR #3734:
- Wrap flushPending callback invocations in try-catch so a thrown
exception in onMessagesChanged/onStateChanged does not permanently
deadlock the throttle state machine or skip the sibling flush
- Add 21 dedicated unit tests for CopilotKitCore.subscribeToAgent
covering leading/trailing edge, shared window (bidirectional),
burst coalescing, run lifecycle passthrough, unsubscribe cleanup,
resolution cascade, invalid values, and exception safety
- Use named CopilotKitCoreSubscription return type
- Fix Angular test stub to accept the options parameter and document
that it bypasses throttle logic
Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 4.6 (1M context) <noreply@anthropic.com>
Moves the leading+trailing throttle algorithm from the React-specific
useAgent hook into a framework-agnostic subscribeToAgent method on
CopilotKitCore. This consolidates throttle cascade resolution
(throttleMs ?? defaultThrottleMs ?? 0), validation, and the throttle
algorithm into a single location.
Key changes:
- Add subscribeToAgent() to CopilotKitCore with shared throttle gate
for onMessagesChanged and onStateChanged (run lifecycle events are
never throttled)
- Fix setDefaultThrottleMs to log errors and preserve previous value
on invalid input instead of silently erasing
- Simplify useAgent by removing ~60 lines of inline throttle logic
- Angular AgentStore now uses subscribeToAgent, getting throttle
support via provider-level defaultThrottleMs for free
- Remove duplicate validation from CopilotKitProvider useEffect
- Add direct unit tests for CopilotKitCore.setDefaultThrottleMs

Address review feedback: extract the repeated clipboard availability check +
writeText + error handling pattern into a shared copyToClipboard() utility in
@copilotkit/shared. All 9 call sites across angular, react-core, and react-ui
now use the shared utility instead of duplicating the same code block.
Add null checks for navigator.clipboard across all copy-to-clipboard
calls to prevent TypeError in non-localhost environments where the
Clipboard API is unavailable. The copied indicator now only appears
after a confirmed successful write, preventing false positive UX
feedback when the clipboard API is missing or the write fails.
When the backend emits RunErrorEvent via the AG-UI protocol, several
components did not handle it:
- ProxiedCopilotRuntimeAgent: isRunning stayed true, causing
data-copilot-running to never transition to false (infinite spinner)
- StateManager: activeRun entries were never cleaned up, runFinished
flag never set (stale state on subsequent runs)
- Angular CopilotKitAgent: same isRunning bug as the proxy agent
- useAgentNodeName: node name stuck at last step instead of "end"
onRunErrorEvent is distinct from onRunFailed — the former handles
protocol-level RUN_ERROR events from the backend, the latter handles
local exceptions (network errors, deserialization failures).
- Fix fetchRuntimeInfoAutoDetect in agent.ts to use 2xx-only check
(was checking only 404/405, now aligns with agent-registry.ts)
- Remove duplicate JSDoc block on fetchRuntimeInfoAutoDetect
- Add 7 edge case tests: 500/403/405/network-error/both-fail scenarios
- Add 4 tests for useSingleEndpoint->runtimeTransport ternary mapping
- Update Angular test stubs to use "auto" default (was "rest")
Co-Authored-By: Claude Sonnet 4.6 (1M context) <noreply@anthropic.com>
Instead of requiring users to explicitly set transport: "single", the
client now auto-detects the transport mode by trying REST (GET /info)
first and falling back to single-endpoint (POST with { method: "info" })
if the REST probe returns 404/405 or fails. The explicit flag is kept
for backward compatibility.
