* refactor(router): quarantine navigation runtime topology
* fix(router): restore manifest-backed interception runtime
App Router browser navigations lost first-hop intercepted route context after snapshot topology stopped acting as fallback proof. That made /feed to /photos/:id request the direct page payload instead of the declared modal payload.
The violated invariant was that route topology must come from the manifest, while snapshots only carry runtime proof. Resolve first-hop interception from the manifest, move RSC bootstrap streams onto the symbol-backed runtime, teach prerender extraction that script shape, and harden the runtime contract around route manifest and RSC data.
Coverage includes runtime seam tests, prerender extraction tests, planner/browser navigation tests, package rebuild, and the app-router intercepted routes E2E slice.
* fix(router): narrow prerender RSC script parsing
The prerender extractor accepted any script starting with the symbol-runtime bootstrap expression, then parsed it as though it had the exact RSC chunk-push prefix. That was harmless at the current head, but it made future runtime scripts a foot-gun.
Only the exact runtime chunk prefix and exact done marker are now accepted. A focused extractor test covers non-chunk runtime scripts that share the bootstrap expression prefix.
* fix(router): address navigation runtime review
* fix(router): resolve navigation runtime review threads
* chore(lint): enable stricter promise and error rules
The lint config did not enforce several promise, exhaustive switch, template expression, self-import, and error-construction checks on source files. That let void callback promise boundaries and empty Error fixtures slip through review.
Enable the rules for vinext source files, apply the useful test subset, and make the existing async callback boundaries explicit. Also remove the redundant unknown union and close response bodies in the affected Pages Router tests so server teardown remains deterministic.
* chore(lint): require exhaustive test switches
Test files already enforce strict async callback and error construction checks, but exhaustive switch checking was source-only.
Enable switch exhaustiveness for tests and make the Pages Router response decoder handle the undefined encoding case explicitly. Tighten the allowedDevOrigins suite cleanup so the temporary dev server closes deterministically.

Vinext now automatically detects installed packages with broken ESM
resolution and adds them to resolve.noExternal for both the rsc and
ssr environments. This fixes 'Cannot find module' errors when using
packages like validator that have extensionless internal ESM imports.
Root cause: Vite externalizes dependencies for SSR by default, but
some packages use extensionless imports (e.g. ./util/assertString)
that fail under Node.js strict ESM resolution. Additionally, Vite 7's
Environment API means ssr.noExternal only affects the ssr environment,
not the rsc environment where server components run.
Changes:
- Add KNOWN_PROBLEMATIC_ESM_PACKAGES list (validator, date-fns)
- Add collectNoExternalPackages() to merge user config with auto-detected packages
- Propagate noExternal to both rsc and ssr environments
- Add validator ecosystem test fixture and integration tests
- Add troubleshooting documentation
Fixes#189
* fix(app-router): avoid React 19 dev Flight decode crash in SSR (#50)
* fix(app-router): avoid React 19 dev Flight decode crash in SSR (#50)
* test(ecosystem): harden fixture cleanup and isolate better-auth signup data
* chore: address review nits on React 19 dev Flight decode fix
- Convert standalone JSDoc block to plain // comment to avoid confusion
with the adjacent createRscEmbedTransform JSDoc
- Add note that VinextFlightRoot returns a thenable (not ReactNode),
relying on React 19's internal thenable-as-child behavior
- Add comment noting the 'Switched to client rendering' assertion
depends on React internal message text
- Clarify error.tsx fixture exists for realistic route structure, not
because the error boundary fires during SSR
- Merge main into branch

* Skip deploy previews for fork PRs that lack Cloudflare secrets
Fork PRs don't have access to repository secrets (CLOUDFLARE_API_TOKEN,
CLOUDFLARE_ACCOUNT_ID), so deploy/smoke-test/comment steps always fail.
Add a fork detection condition to skip these steps gracefully. The build
steps still run, so example builds are still validated for fork PRs.
* test: add ShadCN/Radix UI ecosystem coverage
Add ecosystem integration tests for ShadCN components backed by Radix UI
primitives. This ensures we don't regress on a popular library combination.
The fixture tests:
- Button (server component) using @radix-ui/react-slot without "use client"
- Dialog ("use client") using @radix-ui/react-dialog with createContext
- DropdownMenu ("use client") using @radix-ui/react-dropdown-menu
