This commit removes the `Compiler` injectee from the `RouterPreloader` constructor. It's unused but was still being referenced in the factory definition: `static ɵfac = ɵɵngDeclareFactory(...)`.
PR Close#60945
This commit wraps the `error` and `unhandledrejection` event listeners so they are installed outside of the Angular zone, because otherwise they trigger change detection whenever the event callbacks are invoked.
PR Close#60944
Adds support for asynchronous redirects in the router, allowing redirect logic to be resolved dynamically (e.g., via API or async function). This enhances routing flexibility and supports more complex navigation scenarios.
BREAKING CHANGE: The `RedirectFn` can now return `Observable` or
`Promise`. Any code that directly calls functions returning this type
may need to be adjusted to account for this.
PR Close#60863
Redirects in the router are handled before `canMatch` guards are evaluated. As a result, `canMatch` will not run for routes that include a redirect. Instead of silently ignoring this misconfiguration, developers should be alerted to help them understand why it doesn't behave as expected.

PR Close#60958
This commit moves zoneless from experimental to developer preview.
* Update tag on provider API
* Remove "experimental" from provider name
* Move documentation from "experimental features" to "Best practives ->
Performance" (at least temporarily until there is a better place)
BREAKING CHANGE: `provideExperimentalZonelessChangeDetection` is
renamed to `provideZonelessChangeDetection` as it is now "Developer
Preview" rather than "Experimental".
PR Close#60748
Updates the template binder to account for the new selectorless AST nodes. This is a prerequisite to supporting template type checking of the new syntax.
PR Close#60952
Adds the follow validations to the selectorless template parsing:
* Local references with values are not allowed (e.g. `#foo="bar"`).
* Multiple local references with the same on a component or directive are not allowed.
PR Close#60952
Updates the target binder to allow either a selector-based or selectorless matcher to be passed in. This will allow us to skip some of the overhead when matching directives to nodes.
PR Close#60952
Instead of stabilizing the TestBed.flushEffects() API we intend to
replace it with the tick() method (equivalent of ApplicationRef.tick().
The reasoning here is that we prefer tests running the entire
synchronization process (as in production apps) instead of invoking
parts of the synchronization process in a way that would naver happen
in a running application.
PR Close#60959
This commit adds the support for the `in` keyword as a relational operator, with the same precedence as the other relational operators (<,>, <=, >=)
BREAKING CHANGE: 'in' in an expression now refers to the operator
PR Close#58432
Currently, only forms created with `FormGroupDirective` emit events on
form submission and resetting. This commit extends this behavior to
Template-driven forms also.

The @Attribute decorator will inject null if a host attribute
is missing, but `inject(new HostAttributeToken(...))` will throw
a no provider error. We should set {optional: true} when migrating
an @Attribute decorator. Also allow nonNullableOptional to add
`!` to those declarations.
PR Close#60916
Only require a readonly array as input for router commands instead of a writable array. Router itself does not need writable access to the array of commands. If router requires a writable array somebody on the outside would have to spread a readonly array to a new writable array. We can avoid this by just require what route actually needs.
Fixes#60269
BREAKING CHANGE: Several methods in the public API of the Router which
required writable arrays have now been updated to accept readonly
arrays when no mutations are done.
PR Close#60345
As with `InternalNavigationResult`, this commit adds the `catch` to the
`finished` promise on `InternalNavigationTransition` to avoid unhandled
promise rejections.
PR Close#60816
This commit adds a provider that installs listeners on the browser
window to forward unhandled promise rejections and uncaught errors to
the `ErrorHandler`. This is useful for both ZoneJS and Zoneless
applications. For apps using ZoneJS, errors can reach the window when
they happen outside the Angular Zone. For Zoneless apps, any errors not
explicitly caught by the framework can reach the window. Without this
provider, these errors would otherwise not be reported to
`ErrorHandler`.
We will/should consider adding this provider to apps by default in the
cli. In addition, it should be mentioned in the (to be created)
documentation page on error handling in Angular.

This commit exposes the enableProfiling() function which enables

PR Close#60789
This commit adds type inference tests for `linkedSignal` usages, to capture their behavior w.r.t.
type inference. Note that there's some situations where type inference doesn't work as you might
expect/hope; these have been included to capture their behavior but may be revisited in the future
if the inference capabilities are expanded for this scenario.

PR Close#60857
This adjusts code to use `NavigationTrigger` type where appropriate and
moves the `isPublicRouterEvent` next to the private event type union to
make it more obvious that it should be updated along with any updates to
the private type union.
PR Close#60736
The inject tool inserts `const foo = this.foo` if code
in the constructor referenced the constructor parameter `foo`.
If `foo` is a readonly property, we can instead replace `foo` with
`this.foo`. This allows more properties to be moved out of the
constructor with combineMemberInitializers.
For now, it only touches initializers, not all of the code in the
constructor.
PR Close#60713
Since APF can contain shared chunks, where e.g. `eetemplate` lives, the
`coreHasSymbol` check is no longer reliable. Right now it even prevents
the version range check (that is reliably working) from running because
we detect a `index.d.ts` file but simply don't find the requested
symbol in there (we don't expand exports via type checker).
PR Close#60825
This commit attempts to finally fix the long-standing first-party
package linking issue with the rather tricky `rules_nodejs` toolchain.
I've verified that no version of e.g. `@angular/core` ends up in the
Bazel sandbox. This is achieved by also filtering transitive Angular
deps for first-party linked packages. e.g. `@angular/docs`.
In addition, `@angular/docs` accidentally ended up bundling parts of
Angular core because it relied on an entry-point that was not part of
the "well known externals". As part of the ongoing `ng_package`
update/rewrite, we should look into disabling bundling of ANY external
dependency/module. This is possible because we use relative imports
inside APF packages as of recently!
This commit should allow us to develop and continue new compiler
features, without having to temporarily (or longer) disable all
`angular.dev` unit tests!

Currently the HTTP status code and headers are only included if the request succeeded. Given status codes convey more information in case of a request error vs. success, this makes it more useful than inspecting what is contained in `.error()`.
PR Close#60802
Currently when we transpile the HMR update module, we use the project's compiler options verbatim. This appears to break down with some module types, whereas we have to use a native export.
These changes override the compiler options to ensure that the user's options don't end up breaking HMR.

PR Close#60797
When Angular runs application synchronization automatically, animations
are now guaranteed to be flushed, regardless of whether change detection
was run on any components attached to `ApplicationRef`. This most
frequently affects animations related to component removal where the DOM
element for the component would previously not be removed due to
animations not being flushed
BREAKING CHANGE: Animations are guaranteed to be flushed when Angular
runs automatic change detection or manual calls to `ApplicationRef.tick`.
Prior to this change, animations would not be flushed in some situations
if change detection did not run on any views attached to the
application. This change can affect tests which may rely on the old
behavior, often by making assertions on DOM elements that should have
been removed but weren't because DOM removal is delayed until animations
are flushed.
