Currently the standalone migration only copies symbols referenced from the NgModule metadata into the main file. Top-level `registerLocaleData` calls, and the default imports they depend on, are dropped silently when the module file is pruned, which breaks locale resolution at runtime with a "Missing locale data" error.
Copies top-level `registerLocaleData` calls from the file of the bootstrapped module into the main file, and adds support for carrying over default imports which were previously skipped silently by the reference resolution.
Fixes#50886
The control flow migration determines whether an `*ngIf` uses a `then`
and/or `else` clause by regex matching the raw microsyntax string for
the literal keywords `then`/`else`. The regexes only checked that the
keyword was preceded by a non-word character, but not that it was
followed by one.
As a result, a template reference name that merely starts with `then`
(e.g. `else thenBlock`) or `else` was misidentified as the `then`/`else`
keyword itself. This caused the migration to take the wrong code path
(e.g. then+else instead of else-only), which in turn made
`getTemplateName()` compute a `slice(start, end)` with `start > end`,
producing an empty template name. That empty placeholder was never
resolved and was silently emitted as an invalid
`<ng-template [ngTemplateOutlet]=""></ng-template>`, dropping the
original template content without any warning.
Add a negative lookahead `(?![\w\d])` to both regexes so `then`/`else`
are only matched as whole keywords, not as a prefix of a longer
template reference name.

When only some NgClass usages are migrated (partial migration),
the NgClass import should be preserved in the module/component
imports if it is still used elsewhere.
becomes input + linkedSignal
When a component has both a model() property and a conflicting output property (e.g., foo model + fooChange output), this migration converts the model() to an input() + linkedSignal() pattern to avoid naming conflicts.

This fixes an issue where when removing NgClass from the imports array of a component, an extra trailing comma would be left behind if it was the last element in that component`.

Decouple `SymbolBuilder` from the full `BoundTarget` interface by introducing a purpose-built `SymbolBoundTarget` interface containing only the 4 methods required for symbol resolution. This eliminates the need for the large, pass-through `BoundTargetAdapter` and further isolates `SymbolBuilder` from compiler-internal implementation details.
Also minimize `TypeCheckableDirectiveMetaAdapter` by redefining `SymbolDirectiveMeta` to not extend `DirectiveMeta`, exposing only the properties actually used by `SymbolBuilder`.
Removed dead code `getDirectiveMeta` in `template_symbol_builder.ts` which was unused.
These changes improve maintainability and ensure a cleaner architecture by strictly defining the boundaries of what `SymbolBuilder` needs from the rest of the system.
By limiting the required inputs to only what's necessary for the implementation, we make it easier to re-use
the implementation between different compiler architectures
Avoid substring matching on importClause.getText() which caused suffix collisions (e.g., BarComponent vs FooBarComponent). Use AST-based matching for default and named (including aliased) imports to reliably resolve the correct import path when generating loadComponent.
Fix inject migration in multi-project workspace. The inject migration doesn't work when targeting one of the projects due to either not finding any files in other projects or considering them external thus it throws a SchematicsException

`provideRoutes` was deprecated in v15.
BREAKING CHANGE: `provideRoutes()` has been removed. Use `provideRouter()` or `ROUTES` as multi token if necessary.
Fixes a bug in the standalone migration where 2 imported modules have the same class name but 1 is imported with an alias and would not be added to the component imports array when migrating

The inject migration wasn't implementing file filtering properly which resulted in it passing an invalid tsconfig path to TypeScript.

PR Close#62913
Fixes the following issues with the logic in the unused imports migration that deals with trailing commas:
1. It was generating overlapping text ranges which can break internally.
2. It wasn't handling some cases that produce trailing commas.

Follow-up to #61674 where we were leaving behind some whitespace, e.g. `[One, Two, Three]` would turn into `[One ]`. These changes only preserve the whitespace if the node is preceded by a newline.
This wasn't caught by tests, because they were stripping away whitespaces before asserting. I've also reworked the tests to be sensitive to formatting changes.

Since the duplication root-cause was solved by the previous commit, we
can revert/drop the logic that was added back then to overcome this
problem with Tsurge.
PR Close#61421
Currently there can be cases, exlusively in 3P, where multiple tsconfig
projects have overlap of source files. This is the default setup of new
CLI applications as well.
When this is the case, Tsurge will treat each tsconfig as an isolated
compilation unit (given the concepts and mental model to support
scalable batching). This is wrong though, and the same `.ts` source file
can appear in two migration invocations; resulting in duplicate
replacements or analysis (depending on the migration).
We've worked around this problem in the past by deduplicating
replacements, or migrating to an ID-based approach with natural
deduplication. This worked, but it's just working around the root cause.
This commit attempts to fix the root cause by adjusting Tsurge to ensure
that no source file ever appears in two compilation units. This is
naively achieved by not adding a source file to a migration unit, if it
was part of a previous one. This is expected to be fine given the nature
of Tsurge migrations that are built to operate on isolated pieces
anyway— so it shouldn't be problematic if e.g. `app.component.ts` ends
up being part of the test tsconfig compilation unit (we avoid this order
though by visiting build targets first).
PR Close#61421
Migrates `packages/core/schematics` to `ts_project`. As part of this,
this commit cleans up some of the mixed module types and tsconfigs in
the folder. A single tsconfig (and it's test variant) are now used.
For the shipped schematics, we explicitly use the `.cjs` extension, so
that the bundles are properly recognized as CommonJS; even if they are
part of the `type: module` `@angular/core` package.
The `package.json` with `type: commonjs` is removed from
`packages/core/schematics` as it's no longer needed given the explicit
extension & caused issues as schematics are compiled with ESM but are
only later bundled for shipping & some tests as ESM.

The @Attribute decorator will inject null if a host attribute
is missing, but `inject(new HostAttributeToken(...))` will throw
a no provider error. We should set {optional: true} when migrating
an @Attribute decorator. Also allow nonNullableOptional to add
`!` to those declarations.
PR Close#60916
The inject tool inserts `const foo = this.foo` if code
in the constructor referenced the constructor parameter `foo`.
If `foo` is a readonly property, we can instead replace `foo` with
`this.foo`. This allows more properties to be moved out of the
constructor with combineMemberInitializers.
For now, it only touches initializers, not all of the code in the
constructor.
PR Close#60713
This commit changes Tsurge's operation within angular-devkit (i.e. the CLI) to
no longer retain all programs across all migrations. This isn't necessary for
so-called "funnel" migrations so not retaining the programs for those migrations
is a pure performance win. The "complex" migrations may see increased execution time
given that the program is now being recreated for the actual migration phase to run,
although reduced memory pressure may help alleviate this overhead. Since this new
approach should help prevent Node from running out of memory and failing entirely
this is preferred over a potentially increased execution time.

The inject migration has some logic that treats parameters referenced directly inside of `super` differently. This logic didn't account for the fact that the parameters could be inside of inline functions which have less strict access requirements.
