This commit introduces the `provideHttpClientTesting()` function as an
alternative to the `HttpClientTestingModule` (in fact, the NgModule is
converted internally to just use the new provider function).
PR Close#47502
This commit rewrites the JSONP interceptor to use the functional interceptor
style internally, while still maintaining the same public API and behavior.

Previously the built-in image loaders for the optimized image directive
were tightly coupled to the preconnect checks infrastructure. This was
creating a problem when developers were trying to provide a loader on
a component level (or, more generally, deeper in the DI hierarchy):
- PreconnectLinkChecker is the application-level service, provided in root;
- it makes sense to provide loaders in different parts of the DI hierarchy;
This refactoring removes the PreconnectLinkChecker configuration from
the loaders infrastructure and makes it application-wide config. The
PRECONNECT_CHECK_BLOCKLIST is also a simple provider (it was a
multi-provider previously) which should make the overall configuration
easier.

As an ongoing effort to stabilize the NgOptimizedImage API before existing the Developer Preview, this commit renames the `rawSrc` attribute used for the NgOptimizedImage selector matching to `ngSrc`. The `rawSrcset` is also renamed to `ngSrcset` for consistency.
The motivation for this change is to align the attribute name better with other built-in directives, such as `ngFor`, `ngIf`, `ngClass`, `ngStyle`, etc.
Note: this is technically a breaking change, but since the NgOptimizedImage directive is in the Developer Preview mode, we land the change in a patch branch.
PR Close#47362
This commit adds a re-export of the `NgForOf` class as `NgFor` to improve the DX for cases when the directive is used as standalone. Developers can import `NgFor` class, which better matches the `ngFor` attribute used in a template.
PR Close#47309
This is the compile-time implementation of the `hostDirectives` feature plus a little bit of runtime code to illustrate how the newly-generated code will plug into the runtime. It works by creating a call to the new `ɵɵHostDirectivesFeature` feature whenever a directive has a `hostDirectives` field. Afterwards `ɵɵHostDirectivesFeature` will patch a new function onto the directive definition that will be invoked during directive matching.
For example, if we take the following definition:
```ts
@Directive({
hostDirectives: [HostA, {directive: HostB, inputs: ['input: alias']}]
})
class MyDir {}
```
Will compile to:
```js
MyDir.ɵdir = ɵɵdefineComponent({
features: [ɵɵHostDirectivesFeature([HostA, {
directive: HostB,
inputs: {
input: "alias"
}
}])]
});
```
The template type checking is implemented during directive matching by adding the host directives applied on the host to the array of matched directives whenever the host is matched in a template.
Relates to #8785.

This commit adds a console warning in development mode
if the ultimate rendered size of the image is much
smaller than the dimensions of the requested image.
In this case, the warning recommends adjusting the
size of the source image or using the `rawSrcset`
attribute to implement responsive sizing.
PR Close#47082
This commit updates the logic of Image Loaders to throw an error in case an absolute URL is provided an an input to the loader function. The loaders can construct URLs based on image paths relative to the bas URL configured for a loader.

This commit adds an extra logic to add an ability to exclude origins from preconnect checks in NgOptimizedImage by configuring the `PRECONNECT_CHECK_BLOCKLIST` multi-provider.
PR Close#47082
This commit updates the `NgOptimizedImage` directive to add a logic to detect whether an image, marked with the "priority" attribute has a corresponding `<link rel="preconnect">` tag in the `document.head` for better performance.
PR Close#47082
This commit adds a `rawSrcset` attribute as a replacement for the
`srcset` attribute. The `srcset` attribute cannot be set statically
on the image directive because it would cause images to start
downloading before the "loading" attribute could be set to "lazy".
Changing the name to `rawSrcset` allows the directive to control
the timing of image loading. It also makes it possible to support
custom loaders for `srcset` file names. Rather than having to repeat
the image origin for each image, the existing `rawSrc` value and
image loader can be composed to generate each full URL string. The
developer must only provide the necessary widths for the `srcset`.
For example, the developer might write:
```markup
<img rawSrc="hermes.jpg" rawSrcset="100w, 200w" ... />
```
with a loader like:
```js
const loader = (config) => `path/${config.src}?w=${config.width}`;
```
and the img tag will ultimately be set up as something like:
```markup
<img src="path/hermes.jpg?w=100" srcset="path/hermes.jpg?w=100 100w, path/hermes.jpg?w=200 200w" .../>
```

This brings the typing of ngStyle into parity with ngClass since commit
e2ab99b95e. Should help with some strict template checking edge cases.
PR Close#47069
With strict template type checking, a null/undefined value will raise an
error. However the implementation is completely fine with it, and it
would be pointless to "fix" it at the callsite and convert to e.g. an
empty string. Allow all of the "supported types" to be passed in
directly to ngClass.

To mitigate the effect of Observables with memory leak, this change clears
the `ChangeDetectorRef` when the `AsyncPipe` is destroyed. This avoids any
leak within the `Observable` to retain the view data. A test has been added
to verify that this change works correctly with promises that resolve _after_
the pipe has been destroyed.
Note: this is not marked as fix as `AsyncPipe` itself is _not_ leaking any
memory.

The API golden Bazel rule has changed in the shared dev-infra code. Instead
of putting golden API reports into the golden folder as per their original
location in the NPM package, golden reports are now stored based on the
package exports. This makes it more obvious how entry-points are consumable
As part of this change, since the API golden rule now consutls the NPM package
`exports` field, the `localize/tools` entry-point golden file is now generated.
Previously it wasn't generated due to it not having a secondary entry-point
`package.json` file. Such package json files should not be needed anymore
and will be gone in future APF versions.

Adds support for passing in an optional injector when creating an embedded view through `ViewContainerRef.createEmbeddedView` and `TemplateRef.createEmbeddedView`. The injector allows for the DI behavior to be customized within the specific template.
This is a second stab at the changes in #44666. The difference this time is that the new injector acts as a node injector, rather than a module injector.

This commit updates the logic of the `NgComponentOutlet` class to allow passing an `NgModule` as an input instead of passing an `NgModule` factory.
DEPRECATED:
The `ngModuleFactory` input of the `NgComponentOutlet` directive is deprecated in favor of a newly added `ngModule` input. The `ngModule` input accepts references to the NgModule class directly, without the need to resolve module factory first.

Runtime error codes in the Core, Common and Forms packages were not included into the `public-api` group reviews. This commit creates the necessary golden files to keep track of further changes in the runtime codes.

PR Close#44677
Currently the `HttpClient` always wraps errors from XHR requests, but
the underlying errors are always of type `ProgressEvent`, or don't have
a native error if the status code is just indicating failure (e.g. 404).
This behavior does not match in the `TestRequest` class provided by
`@angular/common/http/testing` where errors are considered being
of type `ErrorEvent`. This is incorrect because `ErrorEvent`s provide
information for errors in scripts or files which are evaluated. Since
the `HttpClient` never evaluates scripts/files, and also since XHR requests
clearly are documented to emit `ProgressEvent`'s, we should change the
`TestSupport` to retrieve such `ProgressEvent`'s instead of incompatible
objects of type `ErrorEvent`.
In favor of having a deprecation period, we keep supporting `ErrorEvent`
in the `TestRequest.error` signature. Eventually, we can remove this
signature in the future.

DEPRECATED: `TestRequest` from `@angular/common/http/testing` no longer
accepts `ErrorEvent` when simulating XHR errors. Instead instances of
`ProgressEvent` should be passed, matching with the native browser behavior.

Add new method `historyGo`, that will let
the user navigate to a specific page from session history identified by its
relative position to the current page.
We add some tests to `location_spec.ts` to validate the behavior of the
`historyGo` and `forward` methods.
Add more tests for `location_spec` to test `location.historyGo(0)`, `location.historyGo()`,
`location.historyGo(100)` and `location.historyGo(-100)`. We also add new tests for
`Integration` spec to validate the navigation when we using
`location#historyGo`.
Update the `historyGo` function docs
Note that this was made an optional function in the abstract classes to
avoid a breaking change. Because our location classes use `implements PlatformLocation`
rather than `extends PlatformLocation`, simply adding a default
implementation was not sufficient to make this a non-breaking change.
While we could fix the classes internal to Angular, this would still have been
a breaking change for any external developers who may have followed our
implementations as an example.

The moved `XhrFactory` still needs to be available from `@angular/common/http`
for some libraries that were built prior to 12.0.0, otherwise they cannot be
used in applications built post-12.0.0.
This commit adds back the re-export of `XhrFactory` and deprecates it.
PR Close#41393
With this change we move `XhrFactory` to the root entrypoint of `@angular/commmon`, this is needed so that we can configure `XhrFactory` DI token at a platform level, and not add a dependency between `@angular/platform-browser` and `@angular/common/http`.
Currently, when using `HttpClientModule` in a child module on the server, `ReferenceError: XMLHttpRequest is not defined` is being thrown because the child module has its own Injector and causes `XhrFactory` provider to be configured to use `BrowserXhr`.
Therefore, we should configure the `XhrFactory` at a platform level similar to other Browser specific providers.
BREAKING CHANGE:
`XhrFactory` has been moved from `@angular/common/http` to `@angular/common`.
